    Viera Helmets in 5.1

[EDIT] Please keep in mind, we do not know the struggles Yoshi and his team are enduring for our benefit. The limited resources, the constraints Square-Enix puts on Yoshi's team, the constant development cycle, etc. Although it may be frustrating and discouraging to either hurl insults or just give up, please continue to provide encouraging suggestions instead of abusive criticism or giving up. Disappointments are absolutely understandable, but it's far easier to swallow sugar than vinegar, and most of all - these creators are humans too. We should treat each other with encouragement and respect. (I'm very much a perpetrator of a negative attitude and hope to change as well) Thanks for reading

I just wanted to say thank you to the devs for fitting the helmets to Viera. The clipping with the ears (ears just coming out of the hoods) honestly looks great. The whole reason I enjoy Viera is to see those giant ears! Please, do the rest of the hoods, cloth, and leather helmet pieces like this! The metal pieces might work too.

Also, please let the ears poke through the pumpkin heads again! The ears looked great and gave Viera a very-iera look ;D

PLEASE GIVE US OUR HELMETS! EAR CLIPPING IS CUTE AND WORKS!

    Thanks

    Also, just a sidenote, if helmets were more readily available for Viera, I wouldn't care much at all about the hairstyles. With helms covering hair, it would really vary up the vieras in game, so you know... we don't all look so similar >.>;

Are we ever going to see old helmets fitting on our vieras or not? It's kinda annoying not been able to use most helmets.

I don't care about most helmets but I'd love stuff like the songbird hat being fitted to Viera heads.

I have kind of given up on that ever happening, at least anytime soon. I could be surprised, but I doubt it.

Meanwhile, viera can't wear at least half of the helmets from the new dungeon. If they aren't putting in the effort to make NEW gear work for them, I don't see them doing it for non-select pieces in the future. No hair options to compensate in the patch either. These races released half-baked and all indications point to them remaining that way.

Actually now before you fantasia your character there is a pop up message that states that certain races will not have hairstyles or hats/helmets be available and you have to press OK to continue. I think the future of the 2 new races are quite bleak now...

I was recently looking at MMO's that have been shutdown in the past decade or so, because you know, being bummed out is super healthy!

I noticed a trend in a few of them (mainly the NCsoft owned MMOs):
    1. Game developers make a MMO, MMO isn't as successful as WoW (b/c these games are wildly expensive to make and investors would like their investment + profits back on an unobtainable scale - WoW),
    2. Game developer company tries to make new games to keep company profitable,
    3. Publishing company doesn't purchase those games,
    4. Game developing company loses money due to extra games not being bought,
    5. Game developer studio gets studown due to becoming unprofitable - despite how profitable the original MMO was.

So why bring all this up? I think the fear of failure in the MMO business is extremely present despite the success of a game. Some studios are pretty big for their breeches b/c they haven't had the close call of that failure, ok - ONE studio and that is obviously Blizzard. Meanwhile, other studios have had very near-hit misses - Elder Scrolls Online, FFXIV, Guild Wars 2, Lord of the Rings Online, and I'm sure many others. I think, after a near-hit, the desire to take risks / overspend / overinvest becomes very unattractive.

Some games have pulled creative systems out of this fearful place (ESO / LotR have very intuitive payment models and game design) while others dig their heels into the ground and stick to what they know and do it very well (FFXIV / GW2).

I think the reason why we don't have Viera / Hrothgar Helms / Hairstyles is due to this very fear from Square-Enix. I'm positive Yoshi has asked for more resources to XIV, resources like Blizzard has, but SE is just too scared. If they divert their assets to XIV and it fails, it could possibly take down the entire company. That's exactly what almost happen to Arenanet this very year (and may also happen in the near future).

In the old days, if a game failed, it was just 1 game out of a series of games that could be changed / killed / propped up to keep the company successful. MMO's are such a massive beast of investment that this is no longer the case.

So, in requesting more from Yoshi, as frustrating as it feels as a player, I think it'd be good to keep in mind what he's dealing with / fighting for. I'm sure it would've been better for SE to not have any new races made at all. I'm positive Yoshi fought for us to have what we really wanted, even if it was flawed, better to give us something than nothing, despite what we may think. Just some food for thought / discussion

Btw, I still want and think helms and hairstyles / completed hrothgar / viera races should be implemented. I also think apathy is not the answer - completely quality content should always be encouraged. The standard of content should be upheld by customers. In the end, compared to Blizzard, yes Yoshi's team is the underdog, but they're a Japanese company. Where Americans are scrappers in a fight, Japanese seem to very much have an inner strength to persevere in incredibly daunting odds against them.

Time to go Ultra Instinct, Yoshi
