I don't hugely care what others play, even if I find the reasons offered a bit suspect at times... but generally I'd prefer to see more male characters around.

Fr tho, i haven't seen anyone really complain about it nor do i see a problem with it. Maybe they just have really fragile masculinity and have to make fun of others to feel valuable, that or the whole mentality of assuming every female character is a male is annoying to them (which it kinda is to me too). Maybe just my own stupid pet peeve, but it's just a little annoying when some people think all viera are dude players; what can i say, i wanna play as a cute bunny too :/

Regardless theres always going to be someone who nitpicks about you in the game. Play the game good? Nitpick. Play the game bad? Nitpick. Revealing glam? Nitpick. Best to just get used to it.

I don't think there are many around like that anymore. At least not in game.

As for pronouns I default to the masculine, due to internet rule#37: There are no girls on the internet.

If they correct me reasonably and/or politely, I will not refer to them as a silly potato from then on.

As for myself I don't really care how others refer to me, but I will correct them after a few times, if only to avoid some awkward catfishing scenario.
