Good luck. Some people here really seems to enjoy flaming optional features being suggested if that's not what they want for the game.
on topic: I'd love that, would make cleaning inventories more practical!

Cleanse the salt from your wound and be practical. This is something that already exists, they are asking for it to be allocated for another purpose. There is nothing to add. See housing, and character settings. You can turn off the Item Bind prompt when placing items as well as a certain type of prompts.
I like this idea, would go perfect in Character settings.
As you can see from the responses thus far in this thread, that isn't the case. Fact is that there are many players who will defend SE and their decision making. That doesn't mean that they think everything about the game and all those decisions are a-ok, but they will claw back at those who disguise their disgust with the game in "suggestions". Those type of threads typically do have a suggestion, while simultaneously bashing something, which brings a huge amount of negativity not only in the thread before it can take off, but also the community.
In this case, along with her suggestion, the OP clearly states that she understands why the confirmation is there, mentions why it is an issue, and also provides a solution. THOSE are the kind of suggestion threads the devs are looking for, and they are few and far between on the English forums. Many of us only want what is good for the game, and when we think a suggestion is harmful towards it and/or the community, we will try to explain why. It's a lot easier to brand someone a post flammer than it is to understand their reasoning.
I am for this change as well. My only issue with it is I know I will end up tossing something I did not mean to because of forgetting to turn the toggle feature off. I am definitely one of those derpy people who would forget their head if not attached to their necks. That's a me thing though, and I totally get that most people don't need x1001 prompts to confirm their decisions.
*see that I did in bold there? How I oh so subtly threw a jab in there?* People don't usually think about things like that when they post, but it's little things like that, that can completely change the way a person responds to a post.
Thank you for pointing the bolded part out. I've thought about this but I don't know if it's something they could do with the game but maybe they can make it so that upon exiting the game, that particular toggle resets itself back to default. That way, for example, say you were mass discarding stuff on Monday, leave the game, come back say...Saturday? And totally forgot you disabled confirmation prompt, the reset feature could prevent that sort of accident. As you can see from the responses thus far in this thread, that isn't the case. Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
You mean like, presenting that it's a problem that you can't easily locate who is talking to you by looking around and then providing a solution to it.Those type of threads typically do have a suggestion, while simultaneously bashing something, which brings a huge amount of negativity not only in the thread before it can take off, but also the community.

There was nothing negative about this suggestion that could be an optional feature but people find excuse after excuse to be against it.I think this game lacks of speech bubbles. They would improve the conversations going on in the cities. When I see someone writing in chat, I have no clue where that guy/girl is standing.
Further speech bubbles would improve roleplaying and hanging around and socializing in the big cities.
This feature is for example already in gw2 and it makes socializing at random places really fun.
I hope you can implement speech bubbles in this game as well someday, it would be a beneficial addition to ff14.
