Unable to download patch files (Again)

Hi, so I tried to download the most recent patch files today and am having the error:

Unable to download patch files. [30413][25008][20495][20495]

this happened to me before when 5.1 came out and after several workarounds failing it randomly decided to download for me. sadly this time the same thing has not happened, I have been trying to download for a while now to no avail.

I am running on Mac,
I am connected via ethernet cable,
I forwarded the ports suggested last time and these are still forwarded,
I have changed my DNS and flushed it,
running VPN and have tried many different locations.

I am not sure what to do at this point as last time these kinda sorta maybe worked and it downloaded later on in the day for me fine, but honestly I am not sure I want to go through all this hassle every time there is another patch. is there anywhere I can manually download the required files? does anyone know another workaround?

There's been a couple of topics about this, mostly after the launch of 5.11. VPN or DNS unfortunately worked for most of us, so Square has decided it must be an ISP routing issue (never mind that in said topics people were reporting their ISP rejected that, or that we were able to complete tracert of the affected servers). I am extremely not confident about the hotfix on the 26th.

Yea, me neither, being as nowhere have they admitted that its a problem it seems kinda funny that it only happened a couple of patches ago and was completely fine beforehand. I too have also contacted my ISP and they have said that there should be no issues my end. for now I have cancelled my sub because there's no point in paying for a game I cannot play.

Yep, here we go again, 20.61mb into the 23.34mb hotfix and same issue.

I'm going to dread every single new content drop from now on, assuming I continue to play at all.

If this is a "routing issue", Square, how come I can download 20mb of the file? Does the routing suddenly change halfway through a single file download?

This is your problem, not our ISP's and not ours.
This is not good enough.

EDIT: This time, thankfully, changing my DNS to Google's servers worked. But if we're going to keep having to try different fixes every time and randomly trust to luck, if every patch in the absence of useful support we're going to have Australians and Southeast Asians sharing how they had to ritually purify their router with mistletoe and Druidic moon runes at midnight on the summer solstice just to get the damn patch to work, I have to seriously reconsider subscribing to this product.

This time, thankfully, changing my DNS to Google's servers worked.

This was what got it working for me last time. This time no luck. I have tried at least half a dozen different public DNS now and none are helping.
Googling all over the internet trying out arbitrary answers and praying that it works but it's been 2 hours now and nothing is working for me this time.
When patch 5.1 dropped I think it took me almost 3 hours to get the patch to work.
I have been playing the game since heavensward and never before have I had trouble patching the game. This is 100% an issue since 5.1

I have ultimate prog tomorrow and I need to get this stupid thing working but I can't stay up all night hoping it randomly works.

I also had this issue for the first time today trying to download the 26th's hotfix patch. I ended up having to download a free VPN program which did the trick. I've also been playing since 3.0 and while I've sometimes had issues with booting the game this is the first time I've been unable to download a patch.

Just had to use a VPN once again to download the patch. Why is there complete silence on this matter? This only started to happen when we the new launcher was released. This is not my problem or the ISP's, it's solely on Square.

I'm having the same problem. I just bought the complete edition, so the launcher is trying to update to the current patch, but a lot of the times, it gives me the "Unable to download patch files" between 1.98% and 22%. What gives?

I'm running on windows 10 and I'm doing it via wireless.

This happened before when I downloaded the free trial. It took me several attempts, but it downloaded eventually. Where's the fix?
