Will of the Moon last part

I've tried this over 2 dozen times. The first part is easy with the very easy button. The last part I cannot complete. I am at a complete loss. Are there any tricks to this?
    Thanks.
I put in a ticket but they only told me to post on the forums. It would also be easier if failing the last part I didn't have to do the first part over again.

So the Y'shtola roleplay segment. Got it. You have 4 abilities. One is a very powerful heal. One is a damage spell. One is a damage over time spell. And the last one is a cooldown to restore your mana. The story presents this as you and Hien fighting side by side against separate opponents. Dont bother with that. You can more or less ignore your opponent(Magnai) and help Hien focus down his target. If i remember right, the heal spell was worth about 60% of your health. So anytime your health gets below half, heal yourself. Heal Hien closer to 60-75%(him dying is a fail condition). Dont stand too close to him, so that AoEs thrown at you dont hit both of you. Try to keep your DoT spell running at all times, toss in nukes as you can, and use the mana move once youve used about 1/3rd of your bar(then keep using it as often as it refreshes). Keeping Hien's health high(75%+) is important because the two of them will do a big double team move in the later stages of the fight(i remember it doing more then half of Hiens health when it hit him). And finally, pay attention to what the NPCs are saying. The fight has a script that it follows at the very end. Magnai throws down a roomwide attack similar to Griffin in Baelsars Wall, and Hien will use a limit break to give you a safe spot to stand. After which there should be an active time event(mash buttons to escape chains type thing). If youve successfully followed the script to that point, Y'shtola tosses out a limit break of her own and the fight ends.

Don't mean to bring up an old thread but I am stuck at the same part of the OP. The first part is easy defeating Sandu 5 times but it is the Y'shtola part that I am having a heck of a time with. Why is it when I watch videos on you tube Y'shtola's HP is at 32K or so but when I play on very easy I still get her at 12860HP. I have tried probably over 20 times and still can get through that part. It is very bad that we have to start anew every single time. This is making me want to quit the game and I really don't want that but frustrating as it is. I just do not know where to go from here to finally beat this duty! I will try once more and follow your advice Frizze.

Old videos would show the numbers before the Endwalker stat squish. Every character's HP is now significantly less than it was when the duty was first added. At the same time, damage taken has also been reduced significantly. Difficulty is effectively the same.

Just remember that your main goal is to keep both Hien and Y'shtola alive. Getting Hien's opponent down first should be the focus. Magni is much easier to deal with after that.

Thanks I will try again this evening but this time focus (as you suggest) on Hien's opponent first. Maybe that is where I was going wrong? Much appreciated.

Yeah, the way they present it is kinda a pair of one on one fights happening in the same space. You can do that, and it is possible to win that way. That is doing the fight the hard way though. You can potentially dodge all of Magnai's dangerous attacks, and his auto's just dont hit very hard. You end up healing yourself maybe twice a minute? Hien, meanwhile, cant heal himself and his death is considered a fail. So because you need to pay attention to him regardless, helping him off his target first makes sense. Then once that is done, he will in turn help you with your target. At that point you also only have one active target on the field, so the two of you are now taking less incoming damage - and therefore easier to heal too. The script hasnt changed since i wrote that reply 2+ years ago, so the strat is still sound. Good luck!

From memory, there is also a part right at the end where the arena gets covered with ground AOEs and you have to go to the glowing axe for the safe spot.
