I have to agree with the DRG, too many buttons at higher levels, and they don't organise well, nor fit into just 2 different bars. It's quite fun at 50, but tiresome and messy past 60.

None of them really. The rotation flow is pretty much balanced around the level of the current expansion and nothing feels complete for me until I reach level cap. With anything below lvl 60, all of them feel like a chore to play. Maybe not for SAM and RDM since they were designed for SB and not much buttons were removed when ShB hits. Jobs have been becoming easier by aiding us in resource management via "reworked skills" or "new skills" at high levels. Not having those new skills all of a sudden would require you to remember what you had to do before ShB level cap and it doesn't help when some skills were removed due to button pruning since the initial flow designed have already disrupted.

Example for new skill, a lvl 80 DRG now do not need to be mindful of the timer they have left on BotD when entering LotD because it will go straight to 30 secs anyway due to the new BotD Mastery at lvl 78. Once you get used to that and you are thrown into lvl 70 content, you need to constantly remind yourself to enter LotD at least 23 secs or else you are going to miss that third Nastrond.

While for reworked skill, playing a DRG at lvl 60 ShB and playing it at lvl 60 HW are two different story. Back then, the danger of dropping BotD is real since Geirskogul remove 10 secs off BotD and BotD itself is on 60secs cooldown. However, now and even more so after 5.1, it is almost impossible to drop BoTD unless you are doing it on purpose.

Similarly for BLM, enochian used to be on 60secs cooldown and now it is 30 secs. You get Umbral Soul at lvl 76 as well which would allow you to maintain enochain during movements between monster packs in dungeons or phase transitions.

As much as I love this game, playing a lot of jobs at lower level is usually a snoozefest.

The only jobs I can think off playing on lower levels are mostly tanks, but I'm just not a tanky person in general.

In most cases I find it quite boring not being able to use all of my skills - especially for BLM. I love the lvl 80 rotation and it feels very powerful for me.
I always feel like missing something, when I get thrown into a low dungeon with a lvl 80 class.

I have to agree on BLM. I used to level it as second main class but as soon as enochian came into play I dropped it and never got back to it. I always want to, because leaving a class at 59 irks me, but ugh.

Most of the DPS jobs (particularly melee) are too complicated for me at higher levels. If I could level lock which dungeons I get in the leveling roulette, I would be far more inclined to level those jobs in dungeons. But as it stands, I stick to beast tribes and squadron/trust dungeons to level most of the dps jobs so as not to inflict my badness upon others.

How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?

BLM, PLD, NIN and MNK. All healers and BRD are fun at any level for me.

This for sure. In SB, I really enjoyed leveling DRG especially around levels 50-60. But once Wheeling/Fang came into it, making it 5-step each, it just didnt fit on my hotbars in any confortable manner anymore.
I think they made some good steps in SB now, that they unified the first starter action of each rotation into True Thrust and removed Heavy Thrust completely.

But they added new actives with SB as well so.. it will probably still be finger-breaker.
It is a pitty, I like the animations and whole theme of DRG a lot.

Shinten is literally just a tacked on busy button. it literally does nothing for sam aside from keep people with ridiculously short attention spans getting bored in that whole 2 second gap between gcds. same thing with kaiten to be honest and many other skills for other jobs.

I'm all for complexity but rotations aren't a complex gameplay mechanic. it's so simple and easy they had to deliberately cripple the macro system because players would just macro the entire rotation to a single button and that single button would work against every boss... it's not complex or compelling gameplay at all.

this is made even more evident by the fact bosses and mobs simply never react to your skills in any way... weak ass auto attack.... boss just stands there ignoring it... big bad fell cleave uber crit direct hit rip your face off. boss just stands there ignoring it.... thats why the battle system is so bland and boring. you could literally replace every boss with a striking dummy and the encounters wouldnt change at all.

RDM, it doesn't lose too many abilities to make it feel overly gutted and boring, at the same time it's a simple job that allows me to kick back and not worry about much in the dungeon/trial when I'm not feeling playing a tank or healer.

For whatever reason I never cared for dragoon past 60 or Blm past 50. But I did enjoy playing them at lower levels. I really enjoyed the dragoon job quests also.
