Wether you\\'re doing dungeons, raiding, ect. Do you sometimes mute the ingame music and play your own? If so, what kind of music do you listen to?

I listen to FFXI music while I play the game, if you haven't heard the ffxi soundtrack, I highly recommend it
Nope, I love the games tracks, so I only listen to them. I sometimes watch videos while in boring things tho
Nope. I get me a nice blanket and pillow, put on some ASMR to listen to with the sound off in-game, and I fall asleep while playing.
I actually have fallen asleep while healing before, wiped the group.
No I don't as I find the in-game music to be good enough. I used to do this a lot in FFXI though but only in areas where there is no BGM(most beach-like areas like Valkurm Dunes for example).
Yes, unless I pause it and forget to unpause or the music in the area i'm in is good
After I have had a chance to hear the music for something new, usually I have the game audio muted unless there is a duty or cutscene. Which is not at all a slight to the sound design of FFXIV; I buy all of the albums and there's a good chance one of the tracks will shuffle on while I play.
I dont reply to threads anymore but i will for this one . i mute the music in ff14 and put other ff14 music in . yes i am that far in the rabbit hole
For everything new I always listen to the music. But I am sick and tired of Weight of the World and NANANANANA TITAN! at this point and will have spotify on.
There are very specific trials and dungeons where I will always play the ingame music, including but not limited to:
Shiva (Akh Amphitheatre or w.e - I quit the game very early into ARR, watching this fight on Youtube with ingame music made me instantaneously come back; especially when watching at the time I had no idea that was the actual music from the fight)
Containment Bay P1T6 & Z1T9 (Sophia and Zurvan) - these two specifically along with Final Steps of Faith/Dragonsong form my 3 favourite FFXIV trial tracks of all time; everytime I wanna quit the game I just do P1T6 for the music and remember why I can't leave.
Hell's Kier (Suzaku)
Holminster Switch (Favourite dungeon track in the whole game)
Hades Domain
Royal City of Rabanastre (tactics ost yes pls/Fav 24man track, yes even over Copied Factory)
Bardam's Mettle
The Burn
The Praetorium
The Dancing Plague (Titania)
The Final Steps of Faith (Nidhogg)
The Royal Menagerie (Shinryu)
OmegaScape T12
T9/UCOB
Alexander T12 / Moebius (Favourite 8man raid track)
Also with that said, I will very often play with music from other FF games or Nier Automata soundtrack.

When first playing a content I always play the in game sound, but after visiting an area many times I have a higher chance to play something on the side. When playing things on the side half the time it's probably just those info videos like Tom Scott or Kurzgesagt, other half music.
Here are some random recent ones pulled from my youtube history:
Kokia
聖飢魔Ⅱ
Shireen
Time's End I & II: Majora's Mask Remixed
Daoko
