I can't say I'd be willing to start from scratch all over again. Couldn't really say if I'd certainly quit but the odds would be pretty high. A great deal of time has been put into so many characters for so many people. And for those who wanna say it wouldn't be such a bad thing tell you what: Delete your character, don't keep ANY items, gil, or stuff and make a brand new character. Make sure you don't accept gil, help, or handouts from anyone. After that, come back rethink the whole thing, okay?

I wouldn't want a character wipe to happen for any reason, but starting over from scratch isn't that hard...I actually did it when I stopped playing on Trabia and moved to Lindblum. Completely fresh, no help or gil or handout items. So did my brother.

So on a single person basis, it's definitely not the complete doom and gloom like you're making it out to be. Of course, such a thing happening to an entire playerbase would be the death stroke.

There was some small mmo in JP which accidentally had that whole "whoops the game is deleted from everywhere" thing happen.

As far as i got it not only character data was deleted by that patch, also all game data, code, everything, the whole game.

And Thanos why the hell do you jump so hard on Raj. o.O
Its true, if all have to reroll there wont be anyone haveing no one his/her level arround. Just harmles little "oh well atleast..." commend. XD

lol do yall rember when u played the sega the game would freeze then u played playstation the game would not load and freeze then xbox u get red ring and mail it back to fix it now where on pc and we get server errors, freezing, blue screens of death, maintenance patches, que's,etc lol we have come along way to be gamers give your selfs a pat on the backs

Oh I wasn't saying on a single person basis, this was on an entire scale of the whole playerbase. It was pretty much in response to the thought that if wouldn't be so bad if the whole population had to start over. Personally I believe a good amount of those who say it's not a big deal may think differently if they had to start over. I mean if I had to start from scratch but had friends to help I may do it, depends in a way. But it wouldn't be a "no big deal" thing to me in the least bit.

its not OK for someone to think its OK to reroll hundreds of people who spent so much time on the game.

its OK to think its OK if one can justify it without a peronal reason.

I have no one to play with so I think its not a bad thing to reroll everyone is not a valid reason.
