Premade Groups?

Hello everyone

As your about to find out I am new to Final Fantasy.

A group of friends and I have left WOW and we are trying to figure out: How can we group together and do dungeons together?

It appears we might have to do individual story lines before we can do them together is this correct?

Any help will be appreciated.

You can just search the name of your friend under contacts and add him as a friend, he will appear always in the friendlist then. If the level and story requirements are (on both characters) met for a dungeon you guys can just make a party of 2 for example and queue it over the dutyfinder together.

Welcome to the community! So a few things to start. When you all created your characters, you needed to select a world. While you can still play with each other if you are on different world, it will be easier if you are all on the same world (I'm on Exodus). The MSQ (Main Story Quests) requires the player to do the quest as an individual. but if you are all doing the story together (I.E. all doing the same quest and going through the quest (as individuals) at the same time) then you will reach a point where you unlock a dungeon (I think this happens at level 16) once this happens and you unlock the dungeon, you call all enter the dungeon together and complete the duty.

Sometimes during a quest youll have to go to an area and a monster will spawn (part of the quest) but since it is YOUR quest, you are the only one who can hit the monster. I'm not qoo% sure when the happens. Others will probably give better answers than me, but the more dungeons, raids, trials, ect you unlock, the more content you can your friends can do together. Again, nothing is stopping you guys from all questing together except for those rare quests where you are the only one who can attack the monster.

i see you're level 26 already - you should have by now been through enough story to visit all three city states and gained teleport ability to all of them. after you do the first dungeon Sastasha you will gain access to the Party Finder. you can also add your friends to a link shell (or if you're all in the same free company that would be even better). and you can group up after you reach this point if you all started in different locations.

Once you have formed a party, you can use duty finder to enter any dungeon or other instance that you have all unlocked. You can also enter from the actual dungeon entrance but usually duty finder is much easier.

I also recommend guildhests which are simple tutorial instances.

At lv17 you can also unlock palace if the dead, which is a randomized dungeon of sorts with a slightly different level system.

You can also do open world content like FATES and guildleves.

You may end up in different cities depending on your starting class, but you'll join back up again by the lvl 15 quests. And the first dungeon doesnxt happen til after that point.
