Chat bubbles are not a replacement for the chat log. They are an addition to it.A toggle would be fine I guess, but I would personally never use it. I like always having all information readily and immediately available in the corner instead of having to quickly look between speech bubbles strewn all over my screen. Then you gotta keep in mind how long the speech bubbles will be viewable, or what happens if someone speaks and they're not in your current field of view, and so on. Just...way too many ways of you missing something someone stated.
If there are people who can handle that mess, more power to em but personally I'm happy with just a chatbox.

Ehhhhh no.. This brings back cringe moments of IMVU and I don't want that here filled with chat conversations of "UwU" I left balmung cause of the RP don't fester it above our heads.
To all people saying that it would clutter their screens, they prefer the regular chat, etc, etc... I'm sorry, but this is the worst argument against this implementation that is clearly being suggested as an optional toggleable feature.
Saying no because you'd rather have them work on something else? Yeah, that's a valid argument, though.
But it's their right, just like it's your right to ask for it. So you're not winning any battles with statements like that. It's pointless anyway cause they out right said they aren't doing it anyway. To all people saying that it would clutter their screens, they prefer the regular chat, etc, etc... That's why I brought up SQX's previous negligence on not offering toggles for UI elements in the past. I'm all for it if it can be toggled; I just don't expect it to be until months later, and I really, REALLY do not want chat bubbles cluttering my screen for that long.To all people saying that it would clutter their screens, they prefer the regular chat, etc, etc...
