Its a lot more abundant, and XIV kindaaa copies a lot of things from it, like many others. After all, WoW's storytelling and lore direction is clunky at best, but as a world, Aezroth is just more amazing than Eorzea imo (I really like Eorzea though, this is my main game after all). Plus on some things the devs of XIV also do some extremely onsensical things (the reason why viera are leaving the forest is because ther world is in danger. Ok. But for whatever reason only the females do so, weh nby lore, it would be much more common for a male to just feel so tired of that lifestyle that they could want to leave. Or how fem hrots are, unless they have lots of babies at once, pregnant for liek their whole life?)
If WoW respected his lore and was reflected in the game, you might be right, but it's no use having stories that you can't see or experience with your character.

For example, according to the lore, the gnomes recovered Gnomeregan (I don't know the name in English, I'm Spanish). Make one (it's my main race) and you'll see that everything remains the same and that they have no interest in many things.

Then for example you can see things as nonsense as why the Nightborne join the horde or why Sylvanas (the new OP waifu for no reason) burns the tree and destroys the civilian population.

WoW has an extensive and worked lore? yes, it's good for something, you see some of that in the game you can experience? because basically I would say not even 60%.

And as for the world... let's see, if FFXIV had WoW's graphics it could be recreated and create more detailed and extensive worlds, but we're not talking about the same after all.
