    Synastry

I don't understand how to use this, and the tooltip appears to be misleading..

So if I put this on the tank, would all my healing spells cast on the tank, get a 40% boost?

Better question: Does the person you bond with receive said additional healing if it's also cast on them.

    Hi!
So the way Synastry works is when you cast it on a said person, any healing spell you cast on another player, the person that has synastry buff on will recover 40% of the healing casted on said player.
It does not grant the person extra healing if you heal the person with a single healing spell with the synastry buff on.

For example, I throw the Synastry buff on the tank and I heal a dps member. That tank would recover 40% of the healing spell I use on that dps member. It does not work with abilities, spells only.

Each time you cast a single-target healing spell on yourself or a party member, the party member with whom you have the bond will also recover HP equaling 40% of the original spell.

So if you use on your tank and heal someone else, your tank will also receive 40% of that heal.
If you heal your tank, he will receive an additional 40% of your heal.

Note that it only affects spells, so you wanna keep it for Benefic II spam.
As the others said before me, you can either use it on your main target to drastically increase your healing, or when two players need heals since it can spare you an aoe (and if you do the latter, put Synastry on the player who needs the less heals then Benefic II the player who needs the most)

So.. basically this is useless to me in big pulls, where 99% of the time only the tank takes damage ((. Well thanks for the clarification.

I find myself only using Synastry during Raids/Savage content. Wished it worked for abilities too that would make ED really powerful.

Not at all. You actually heal your tank for more. So use it when possible (if you end up using a spell like Benefic II)
It is a free healing buff, why would it be useless?

I think you are still confused. I can confirm that if you use a single target healing spell like benefic II on the tank with the synastry buff, the tank will receive the full heal of benefic II, plus 40% of that heal as extra healing. You don't have to cast the spell on another party member for the tank to receive the additional healing.

This is one of the most powerful single target healing buffs in the game, if not the most powerful. It's extremely good for when the tank pulls wall to wall in a dungeon and you have used all your instant casts and need to spam benefic to keep them alive. It's also good in raid when both tanks are taking damage at the same time. Between this, and Neutral sect, and Lightspeed, you are a dungeon healing powerhouse with next to no problems healing wall to wall pulls. Space your cooldowns out and you will never have any issues. Once you have perfected that, learn how to weave in damage and cards at the same time and you have mastered the job.

Yes it does. You can use it on the tank, and cast spells on the tank, and they get that 40% extra healing.

You can use it like the old Divine Seal/Largesse abilities, except that it's only single target.

The number of ASTs that don't know this is a bit shocking. I guess they should clarify the tooltip a bit.

Better question: Does the person you bond with receive said additional healing if it's also cast on them.
So as a more direct answer: Yes to both questions.

OK then I will just continue what I was doing before and keep slapping it on the tank.
