    teleporting to preveously never visited areas

    I dont know if anima will stay or be replaced but either way i dont think it makes sense that we are alowed to be ported by a friend to areas weve never had to walk to first. You should only be able to accept a port to an area that you have visited before in the past. No need to be in a rush all the time.

    At least they made it so you can only go to the smaller nodes if you have visited them. I just wish there was more of a reason to go to those.

    I agree with this. Even WoW doesn't let you take a flight path unless you've run there and discovered it, first.

    Another anima thread? Leave it alone people! If you don't want to be ported to a camp you haven't been to before fine, don't do it. Don't try and ruin others gaming because of what you want. I've helped countless low leveled players get to Mor Dhona to do their main storyline mission and being able to just teleport them there was a great thing because I would have had to run them there on foot through the Shroud.

    Since most of these people that I've helped came on late at night just before I was heading to bed, I was able to get them there and mission done quickly and go to bed with happy thoughts of helping someone! I've been to the node before and since the person is in my party, I am giving that person some of my link to that node to them so they can get there and fully attune to the node themselves. That is how I see it.

    Now can we please stop with these anima threads? Post in one of the 100 other anima threads!

    Just stop doing this thread. People like being able to get camps in hard to reach places. If you don't want to do it that way then don't but stop trying to get SE to make it suck for the rest of us. I have helped several players who tried to get to Mor Dhona via the land route but kept getting killed by the aggro and I was able to port them directly to the camp and that's how it should be.

    It does however let you get teleported to somewhere you have never been before though.

    True, but mage portals are only to seven major cities and a PvP zone. Maybe it's splitting hairs, but you still can't remove the world exploration aspect from the game by allowing it.

    Normally I wouldn't think it was a big deal in 1.0. But considering there are exploration achievements for aetheryte attunement in this game, I don't think it's right you can get the attunement without first running there yourself.

    Even in WoW, unless you know a Warlock and two friends who are really bored (good luck), there is no way you are getting this without putting in the work, yourself.

    i don't see a problem with it. it's like taking a taxi. get off a plane catch a taxi to your hotel. the driver knows how to get there, you don't need to.

    while i can relate to not needing to be in a rush all the time i do think that if i went to do aurum vale and had to wait for people to ride there from uldah it'd kind of be a little bit more than a joke. while i may not be in a rush i may not have all day to sit around and wait either. and although i've never actually ridden from ul'dah to aurum vale i'm pretty sure it'd be a good 45 minute trip even if you took airship to grid.

    Agreed, in 2.0 we are getting maps which fill in as we discover them supposedly, I'm assuming there will be achievements for that as well.

    I also expect there to be a lot less Aerthyte, some are going to be ripped from the ground, I doubt Aertheial gates will exist any more, we've already seen the Garlean Empire destroy one of them.

    We are moving away from large seamless zones to smaller ones, which will probably have 1 Aerthrtye per zone if that.

    A lot of changes are coming, I agree about you shouldn't get teleported to a crystal you haven't attuned with though, guess time will tell what their plans are for that.
