[Request] Please let our characters get drunk!

I like to throw wild parties in-game for my friends. There's a lot of alcoholic beverages mentioned and involved in many of FFXIV's quests. Alcohol is even available as decorative housing items, though we're not really able to drink it outside of specific cutscenes.

I'd like that to be remedied. Obviously everybody should be encouraged to drink in moderation but the Warrior of Light has been through a lot. If he wants to hit up a tavern after a rough battle then he should be able to do just that!

Perhaps if our character drinks too much the screen can blur to imitate a drunken stupor and the Warrior of Light can start to walk in a zig-zag manner. Maybe he reaches a point where he can't drink any more so he just pours the remaining alcohol all over his big, buff chest and runs off into the night. I think that'd be really immersive, especially since we see so many NPC's sitting around drunk in the game's various taverns.

Since you can get drunk in Nier Automata, maybe Part 2 of the Raid involves the Warrior of Darkness getting sauced.

Isn't that already a feature of the game ? When i see characters staying in big flashy dangerous aoes, tanks not having their stance on, healers dpsing instead of rezing and healing properly, people saying that lalafells are master race, etc, i always thought they were having some kind of overly drunk debuff.

Age rating says no to our characters getting drunk, why also no smoking for pc characters too. It would be highly inappropriate for an intentional company to allow children to simulate smoking and getting drunk at their choosing.

Come on Theodric you know this has been asked plenty of times before, you need more material man :P

I dunno something like a /drunk emote could be fun.

As for the age rating, Namazu already get drunk on tea. And Spongebob and Patrick got drunk on Ice Cream in The Spongebob Squarepants movie (and had the hangover to boot). Maybe they could find a way with a little creativity.

If MH:W style drinking were a thing, I would definitely abuse it.
