(Suggestion) Add minimum ilevel for roulettes based on your level

I like doing CT. I don't "ilvi exploit" but knowing you people, if you see someone like me in the raid with i470 gear, you're gonna assume that person exploited.

To this end, I also only have CT, Void Ark and the Copied Factory unlocked. I have no desire to unlock the rest. I guess you gonna want it where ALL the things must be unlocked in order to get the roulette too, right? So yeah, when I queue up for Alliance Roulette, I am unintentionally pissing in your cheerios, because you wont get your Alpha/delta/omega/Lucky Charms/Count Chocula/Cookie Crisps high end 24-man raids.

I agree with all but Rabanastre. Those fights took way too long at launch and are only made tolerable by ilvl making them go faster. I’d say 370 at the very lowest.

Rabanastre was rough at launch as player ilevels skewed a bit more towards the min ilevel than the max ilevel of the patch due to StB having an additional tier of level 70 gear at release. It was quite easy to just barely make the min ilevel of i305 the Raid with a mix of Antiquated, Arhat, Ala Mhigan, Skallic and Genta gear. Later on when the majority of players were in i330 to i340 the Raid was pretty smooth.

In comparison, the equivalent mix of gear for Copied Factory (Weathered/Amorant, Ronkan, Warg and Edengate) would put the players in i440 which is above the minimum of i435 which likely contributes towards raid success.

You may not be using the ilevel exploit but you are still gaming the system for quick and easy XP/Tomestones. The only real way to stop you from gaming the Roulette would be to require WoD, DS and OM completion to unlock the Roulette.

Tbh, on some days it still takes a lot of time, becase people die a lot even in ~450.

Anyway, I agree that there should not be a restrictive iLvl but rather a bonus for higher level raids.

Cannot agree, because when you hit a tier, you still are far away the tier IL cap, when you are a new player and not someone rolling its 12th job with all tomes capped.

Road to 70 is quite an example, you hit 60 much long before even unlock Idyllshire so you cannot access that gear even if you have the tomes.

I think one possible solution is looking at all the available job gear between armory, inventory, and why not, saddlebag, and use the resulting best IL for register the roulette queue, instead of looking at only what you have on.

And blocking retainer access when queue pops up.

My alt is still wearing ironworks gear at level 74. I think I might have just LoTA unlocked, and I level it through the roulette/MSQ (if I ever actually play it).

I am also still in ARR.

Yes. They need to add a min ilv requirement. But instead of needing to have high enough ilv for all three raids for each level cap, I would lower it so you only need high enough ilv for the first raid.

Meaning, at lv50-59, you need to be ilv50. At 60-69, you need to be ilv175. At 70-79, you need to be ilv305. At 80, you need to be ilv435 (when they add the Nier raid to the roulette).

Right now, newcomers have deal with longer than necessary queues just to experience the Shadows of Mhach and Ivalice raids the first time.
