On the other hand, without that penalty, some people will just try to get kicked on purpose.
They can make it so that if you queue with other people, your entire group counts for one vote only, so there is less chance of abuse.
I feel like everyone is derailing this thread. It's about setting the minimum ilevel better than it currently is for Alliance Raid Roulette, not penalizing people for leaving. Please start a new thread for that.
So then instead of changing the topic, start a new thread. Your suggestion has nothing to do with ilevel, and has more to do with punishing people for leaving any duty whatsoever, whether it's a good idea or not. People get annoyed at derailing usually, so I'm not sure why this thread is an exception.
And it's certainly enough to solve the problem of getting LotA every single day for a week. That's a 1/9 chance, which is pretty bizarre unless someone's manipulating the odds. I, unlike these other people, would like to play content that doesn't put me to sleep. I know they're afraid of even a shred of challenge, but I'm really sick of the same duty that everyone wants to do but somehow can't actually grasp the mechanics.
Is it really a case of going off-topic? You're suggesting something with broad ramifications for the community and posters, in turn, are bringing up potential consequences and related issues.
My suggestion depends on your suggestion. It doesn't need a new thread as it's a response to your suggestion and it's not something I'm advocating independently. If you don't like it, that's fine, but I can still make my opinion known based on your suggestion.
It has nothing to do with challenge. It has to do with the time/reward earned for the roulette involved. SE could fix the problem easily by awarding more experience for 60 and even more for 70 level raids. They chose to do that with Praetorium and Castrum and tell me how many moans do you get when people get Castrum instead of Prae not to mention those that leave the duty because of it.
i can get more experience by running the Pixie Beast Tribes than I do from running Alliance.

The problem is that it's derailing the topic to insist on penalizing people for leaving, when that's not what the original topic is about. You can go right ahead and say it ("I can still make my opinion known"), but I'd like it if the thread stayed on topic. People will just ignore my original point in order to just keep the conversation going, which I'd rather not happen.
Then don't queue for alliance raid roulette while unequipping items. Simple as that. If it's so unfun, boring, too long, etc., then don't drag everyone else down too. I haven't seen a 70 raid since before ShB launched. I think I've seen one or two 60 raids. It's always the lowest and easiest.
I'll queue for whatever I want and I will say that I'm happy to get LOTA or Syrus and hope I continue to get them until SE fixes the problem by awarding experience worth the effort. Then don't queue for alliance raid roulette while unequipping items. So are you admitting you deliberately remove equipment to get lower level raids in order to coast through? Because that's what's being talked about here. Not going, "Oh yippy! LotA! I love this one! I'm so glad I got it randomly!"
