(Suggestion) Add minimum ilevel for roulettes based on your level

I'm so sick of getting LotA because people are too afraid to do anything 60 or above for my alliance raid roulette. There's rarely new people, and I know people just take off items to get into the level 50 stuff.

So instead, I propose a minimum ilevel based on the highest cap you have available (50, 60, 70, or 80), so you have to have the minimum ilevel for the highest alliance raid you can do. So for 50-59, you'd have to have at least i90. For 60-69, you'd have to have i235, and for 70 you'd have to have i365. Something like that, anyway. That way you have to be equipped to do all possible alliance raids at your current job level.

I suspect people will respond angrily to this because they don't want to actually play and just want to snooze through an easy roulette, but I feel like it can solve at least some of the problem with this easy exploit.

EDIT, since apparently this needs to be said: This thread is specifically to suggest what I've said above, not for instating a penalty for leaving a roulette mid-duty.

If they add minimum item level restriction to queue for a roulette, they also need to limit the reward to one entrance per day so people don't leave (or try to get kicked, etc) if they get something they don't want.

    They already do that.

No, they don't. There is a limit to how many times you can get the daily reward. I'm talking about a limit to qualify for the reward. If you queue for a roulette, enter a duty, and then leave or get kicked or get dismissed by the system before finishing the duty (except for vote to abandon), you should be disqualified from the daily reward of that particular roulette for the rest of that day.

I can honestly say with the way mentors go on this should have already been a thing with mentor roulette.

Yes they do. I've seen people just leave duties countless times as soon as getting in. They'll just leave no matter what. You'd be surprised what people would do or give up in order to get easy content.

And no, if you get kicked you shouldn't be disqualified, which I suspect is why they haven't implemented that. Ages ago when I got something other than LotA, I was in WoD, disconnected right at the beginning of Cerberus because my internet decided to cut out. I got back in about 30 seconds, and had found myself kicked. Does that mean I deserve to miss out on the rewards?

Again, what they do currently is not what I'm talking about.

That's just the cost that needs to be paid. Otherwise, people will just leave, take the penalty and try again for a more preferred duty, which is what happens now, so it's not enough.

    I think there's a misunderstanding here.

There is currently no restriction on being able to re-queue for the same content if you leave without completing the dungeon/duty. Worst case, you get a timer that prevents you from re-queuing immediately, but you're still able to queue again eventually. What linay is referring to is being ineligible to queue again at all for that roulette for the day.

I agree that people should not be punished for being kicked. That would be abused by trolls and griefers to the extreme.

Perhaps better incentives should be added to encourage participation in content that takes longer and requires more effort. A lot of people play after a long day working and/or studying and so the path of least resistance is no doubt tempting for many of those individuals. I'm all for adjustments being made, though a lot of people will probably just quit and eat the thirty minute penalty if they get something they're not in the mood for. Much like what happens with certain duties in the Mentor roulette.

What sort of incentives do you propose to go along with your suggestion if it were implemented?

Linay does have a point you know.
Plenty of games have punishment systems in place when it involves players continously bailing when they dont get something they want or when they get team mates that are not up to their expectations.
The 30 minute lockout is too low and effective.
