    Suggestion: Class Specific Glamour Plates

    Hello there!

So at Fan Fest, it was suggested to give more glamour plates, and while 15 is a great start, I feel like we need more. I'm an omni-classer and omni crafter. Meaning, I have 29 classes. I am a huge fan of the original 50 gear because it brings me close to my beginning FF routes with games like FFV, FFVI, Tactics, and more.

I am absolutely IN LOVE with the white scrip gear for my crafting and gathering classes, however, that is taking up 11 of my glamour plates at the moment and I just simply don't have enough for my war/magic classes.

When it was suggested at FanFest, the person asking suggested having a different set of glamour plates for each class. Basically, every time you switch classes, you have a unique bar of glamour plates. Kind of like how hotbars can be shared/unique, but with glamour plates instead.

So let's say I switch to Warrior, I would have my row of 15. Then I switch Botanist I would have another 15. This would make it so the interface wouldn't have to undergo much change, and they would basically be "instanced" depending on what class you were at that time.

That might be inconvenient for people who actually do want to share glamours between classes. And TBH 15 plates per class seems like a lot. It would be 420 extra plates per player, which will have nontrivial requirements for server capacity. And I don't think the intent is to allow players to store every gear set ever as glamours either.

I have an alternative proposal: If memory serves, the gear sets already save the glamours used for the set. Make that accessible as a glamour plate instead. There's one set available per class plus a few extra, so that should take care of basic per-class customization. And since it uses data which is already stored, it shouldn't require anything extra from the servers. When you update a gear set, the game would ask if you want to also update the glamour plate for that set, or apply the previously saved glamour plate to the new gear. The current 15 shared glamour plates would be retained of course.

Also, please allow changing glamours outside of cities when a gear set is associated by a glamour plate. It really diminishes the usefulness of the association feature if you can't count on it always working.

I fully support this proposal. I would love to have unique glamour for each of my crafters and gatherers, but I simply do not have enough plates for them and the other things I glam for. However, I also don't need 400+ plates. 15 is plenty for my normal use not counting my crafters and gatherers, and if each of the gear sets had it's own plate there wouldn't be much more you would really need.

Also yes, not being able to change glamours outside of cities or residential districts is annoying.
