(Request) Unlock gender restrictions on weapon cposes!

While I don't oppose this, if they were to actually put time towards it, I would actually rather see new poses implemented.

This is one of those things I wish they would have done with its inception. Now it would require a rework, and this word instills fear into the fearless for a production team already hard-pressed to meet deadlines.

Its very obvious that the same animation skeleton is used for all races, or atleast for all of the same gender regardless of race. To change what im suggesting i'd guess it'd take them no more than 40 minutes to make it work. Making new animations is not what im asking, and those kinds of things will take more time.

Yea i mean if you look at my signature (My horribly outdated one from the start of stormblood xD) below, you can see that atleast the vpose/bstance emotes do sometimes incorporate some of the things we want...But i just want it as an idle pose! I dont want to have to freeze my animations in gpose just to have my damn sword resting on my shoulder!

pretty sure yoshi has said that they wan't different races and gender to have their own poses and emotes and I completely agree.

Why tho? I can see the argument for feminine and masculine emotes... but cposes? Is there ANY cpose that looks gender specific?

Why though? Different races, i suppose it depends on the emote...But different genders? Why? Especially when weapon cpose is the ONLY one that is gender locked to such a degree.

Some of the mage female ones certainly lean to the effeminate side, especially WHM....Buuut come on, males can wear the bunny girl outfit and 2Bs outfit now lol, and female characters can wear masculine clothes...i dont think gender restricted emotes make sense anymore, or ever have.

Yea but, well, to use umbrellas as an example, wouldn't it be better to have a CHOICE between holding it whichever which way you'd like? Male default or female default, regardless of your characters sex?
