Can you clairfy what you mean ? I thought the Lily based spells were the off global cooldowns bar Tetra which can only be used every 60 seconds( i dont follow all the terms people use for things sorry).

When Im starting a dungeon I have no lilys as they are reset when porting into the instance so I will Div Ben:shield,( maybe asylum if after a few pulls the tank takes big hits all the time),regen and always use holys to stun and get in a damage free cure 2 in (maybe pop plen indulge before cure 3 if im nervous the grp is gonna take cleaves or aoe) whilst a lily is generated. Ive always experienced tanks in dungeons after ARR taking big hits during pulls so i have to be on point with holy stun + cure 2 casts so thats how i approach most of my initial healing.

Basically what I suspect they meant, is to focus on using your oGCD's while lillies charge up. Lillies are no longer used up by tetra or Assize, they are only used for the Afflatus skills. Lillies charge passively while in combat.

Ok thank you. I do use Tet and assize during holy stun cure 2 initial heals and check with the tank if they want me to start with holys ( due to the stun) or wait till they have used up their cool-downs like rampart. Most seem to not mind the holy stun at the start of engagement.

Holy's stun is great mitigation for the tank. When diminishing returns makes holy stop stunning every few seconds, maybe focus more on healing the tank. Them adds can't do damage if they're stunlocked. It's way easier to cast holy in this expansion because they reduced the MP cost and cast speed.

Use regen to babysit the tank once they're done pulling

Use asylum to babysit the tank when regen isn't quite doing it enough

Use benison on cooldown, it's free. Pair it after an instant GCD ability, like afflatus solace, for minimum downtime after using said instant gcd ability.

Use tetra as needed, don't hold it. Cooldown's short.

Use benediction when you feel you're starting to lose control on the situation and the tank is getting dangerously low.

Avoid using solace when the pressure is on if you're trying to spam heals UNLESS you have an OGCD ability to use during the GCD, because the wait for the GCD and then the cast time of your next ability could kill your tank. Because that's like waiting 5 seconds between heals (particularly if you're doing solace into a cure 2).

Use assize whenever, absolutely no reason to hold onto it. Even later on.

Yeah the only time I'll ever get regen aggro as an AST/WHM is if the tank literally doesn't hit the mob at all as they're sprinting past it(e.g. poor cleaves, or the infamous "single target rotation" tanks). While there's no reason to pre-regen the tanks, popping it on them while they're collecting things should typically be perfectly fine.
