Ishgard Restoration: High Difficult Recipe Rewards

As you guys may have known already, Yoshida just recently made a Post regarding the whole Ishgard fiasco here: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...d-visit./page6

He has pretty much confirmed this so far with this post:

- Difficult recipes will be coming, starting 5.2 and onward.
- Leaderboards, scratch off tickets, all coming 5.2.
- Basically indirectly confirmed that difficult recipes will only apply to Ishgard.

Thing is, if the High difficulty recipes’ rewards are not adequate or motivational enough for hardcore or competitive crafters to do, they most likely will not do them. (At least not on a consistent basis). I’m sure Square Enix knows this, but let me go over the rewards that should be presented for completing multiple High difficulty recipes and reaching the top on the leaderboards:

- High stat tools

- High stat gear

- Glamour that is....well, lewd. Let’s be honest, players won’t be motivated enough to do them otherwise, lol.

- A way to earn a lot of gil.

Minions, mounts, titles....basically useless items to competitive or hardcore crafters...is just not motivation enough to have them repeatedly do recipes for no gain.

Right, so it's like adding weekly progression to the things. You do it for a couple weeks to get enough ranking points to get the best tools so you hit stat thresholds for the new macros then just use those to win on the following weeks, seems easy enough

They would have to balance it, even with high stat tools or gear. (Or both)

High stat gear negates the difficulty aspect you desire. Like Feast, it will probably be titles, mounts, and glams awarded to those high ranked on a leaderboard.

As I’ve said a post above, it would need to be balanced. The point also, is motivation. Useless items do not motivate players like me to do them. As for glams, if it’s not something lewd like those 2B Butt things, nobody who is hardcore will bother doing it. In other words, a wasted effort even implementing difficulty.

Back in 2.0 - 3.5 endgame, the “reward” for suffering through RNG was millions of Gil off the marketboard. With Ishgard, the “Rewards” should be gil, or lewd glam, or high stat tools/gear.

I see nothing wrong with motivating players. Otherwise it’s a useless activity.

cookies casuals player will be trigger just hearing the words “rewards. high stat tools. high stats gear.”

i hope se gives hardcore player very good rewards. lot of hardcore player in japan discord will not do, if rewards are not appropriate for effort put in ishgarde content.

If you HAVE to have a forum alt that you can pop onto to agree with yourself, could you at least make it a little more subtle than providing a cover story as specious as 'foreign player here btw just here to comment on everything this other person says' with basically your same username?

Or at the very least grow some new talking points other than 'I speak for the entire HARDCORE CRAFTING COMMUNITY on EVERY DATA CENTER and we want REVEALING BIKINIS so I can flex on limsa randos!'

What, lol. Someone’s a bit too upset. Pretty sure you get banned for that on the forums. Apparently anyone who disagrees with me is a forum alt that miraculously doesn’t get banned. Good to know. Please keep your emotions in check or get ignored.

Anyways, high stat tools and gear would be a nice reward, but it would have to be balanced so the recipes ahead aren’t such a cake walk. And like I said, if it is glam, it has to be desirable somehow, and not some white mage cloak.

If high stay gear is a reward it won't be tradeable you can count on that. It follow the tren of you didn't craft it so you can't sell it Similar to script gear.

Yeah, it’s probably not going to be tradeable. I mean, so long as the rewards are decent, hardcore and competitive crafters will consistently farm Ishgard. And I assume that is what Square Enix wants. So, I’m sure the rewards they have planned are pretty grind-worthy, for Top 5 on leaderboards. Or heck, it could be Top 3.
