Road to 70 buff

So I am not sure where this post belongs. Anyway, I created my account back in like 2014 or so. I played maybe a month back then. Fast forward to now. My brother and friend decided to try this out again and they made new accounts and bought the newest expansion. I remembered my old account info so i just bought the newest dlc on this account.
So the issue is I had the road to 70 exp buff for 3 days i want to say but now its just gone. My highest level job is only 55. I even tried switching classes to see if something bugged out. The info that i found online said something about having it if you were on a preferred server or your account was lass than 90 days old. My account was made back in 2014 and has the "60 veteran" reward so I dont think that part qualifies? My server is Ultros and it shows preferred on the server lists so maybe im missing something.
Anyone have any ideas? I find it odd that I had the buff for a whole 3 days. Any ideas?

You get that buff for leveling on a preferred server. It goes away after 3 months time.

The Road to X buff is server wide. The fact that it disappeared simply means that the world you are playing on got enough characters made on it to be considered no longer prefered, and so the exp buff wasnt applied server wide anymore. You really dont need it though, the main thing thats going to gate your progress to endgame is the story, with all its cutscenes and dialogue, and not your level.

...except this isn't true. The link at https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...ion_balancing/ clearly says:

"These incentives will remain in place until the active player populations of the Worlds in question have grown to a specified number. Please note that once a World has been removed from the "Preferred World" category, the various bonuses will no longer be applied. In the case of newly created characters, these bonuses will continue for 90 days (including the day of creation) regardless of any change in World status."

So no, you don't lose it just because the preferred status changes. That is supposed to be set at character creation and last 90 days, regardless of if the preferred status changes within those 90 days.

The buff stays as long as a world is preferred, and a minimum of 90 days.

Which means, if 90 days expires from the time that you make a character on a preferred world, but the world is still preferred, you keep the buff until the world is no longer preferred, even on day 91+.

This also means that if you make a character on a preferred world, and its status is no longer preferred a day later, you keep the "road to x" buff another 89 days.
