Good morning and thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

The issue could be from another add in or anti virus program interfering with it. Could you try doing a cleanboot? : Open the task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

OK, so I tried all that, but still the FFXIV Launcher did not save my username. I then tried uninstalling my anti virus completely, but still it wouldn't work.

Thank you for the reply krum85.

The data for that function should be stored in the locally-saved data folder (located My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). Have you tried removing this folder? Logging in again will replace the folder in the same location. Make sure to create a backup of this so you can replace it if it doesn't solve the issue.

Have you tried reinstalling the game as well?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

Tried that, still doesn't work... Is there a flag I can manually add to the FFXIV_BOOT.cfg file to enable it? took a look, but didn't see any user id save option that was obvious to me.
