The answer will depend on your individual needs.

If you don't usually game on anything other then console, then buying a gaming PC might not work out cost effective. You will also have to buy XIV and its expansions on the PC again and register them to your account, so take that into consideration.
But with a gaming PC, you have access to steam summer sales (do not buy XIV on steam, just buy its normal PC stand alone edition for the love of Nophica) you can watch netflix etc if you have accounts and of course owning a computer at home is just down right convenient for life, though a laptop really is a downgrade compared to a desktop PC, so perhaps the PS4 Pro is right for you?

Black friday and Boxing day sales will be upon us soon, so you may want to hold out. There are also no interest pay systems depending on your country of origin,
(Afterpay, Certigy, Ezypay. Basically they charge you $4/month to have an account, but NO interest on your purchases usually for 24months+)
I like these systems and instead of paying the minimum, I pay them off over 12 months, that way if there is ever a financial emergency, I am well ahead in my payments. Plus you look good paying it off early.

Also, the temperature threshold for CPU are often 100°C and above and then the lifespan of the part is long enough to survive for several years even when lowered. Disks like it when it's warmer actually.

I ran the original version of the game on a GTX670. Granted, it was 1080p, but I had stable 60 fps. That was 2012 hardware. I am sure any "normal" mobile GPU can handle this game on a satisfying level on a budget system.
    Actually they are not.
The gpu and cpu chip will not kill the laptop, but the quality of a solder and power supply units on the motherboard which is always lackluster in those "cheap" laptops.
The heat and always changing temperatures to the extremes is the most common reason why these gaming laptops doesnt work that well.
The cooling solution used in laptops just cannot cool it fast enough, temperatures are being spread around the motherboard streching components and solders back and forth thanks to the temperature differentials on the motherboard.
This thing happens in desktops aswell but to the much lower degree thanks to the air circulation in the pc case.
Also because cpu and gpu chips are taking less power it also makes them a lot weaker than their counterparts in desktop, making it more expensive in general.

That laptop has the minimum ram, I'm assuming it's at least a quadcore. Nice score on the processor... It's still too much money for me personally.... that's why i bought a tower this year.
