ARR BLM and WHM arms

So, a proposition to SE: since 1-hand BLM and WHM had been discontinued ever since ARR, why not just categorize these 1 hand weapons simply as "BLM arm" or "WHM arm", so it would be available for glamour over today's BLM and WHM arms?

There are many nice "wand" models, especially the ARR Primal weapons or the FFXIII weapons in Mogstation that don't get used anymore because of that.

My guess why they don’t is due to server and item coding issues. They’re solution to some of those were to have a trade in vendor. It would probably be easier to continue to do that.

They probably won't do a bloody thing about it. We still have the ONE HANDED items from FFXIII's event when it ran, and they still sell them on the mogstation, including some people having bought them and not knowing they couldn't use them for any current glamour.

That's actually my case to be honest. Back near the launch of Stormblood when I joined, I started leveling White Mage and went to the mogstation to purchase a few items to look minimally decent while knowing the game. Sadly my sprout self didn't realize that at current content, WHMs didn't get to use 1h weapons anymore, so after a while, that FFXIII arm got useless. Yes it had a disclaimer there, but I couldn't realize that it meant no 1h weapons anymore.

Might be nice, if they can’t be arsed to just make the glamour work. Aside from a few animations like Enochian, all of it looks fine with staff or wand. Not ta mention ya can still equip ‘em an’ cast spells already, so not like it’s makin’ new stuff outta thin air. I guess the only downside is that’d make all the caster shields even more useless, so who knows what they’d do with that.

My guess is that they're kept separate because they use separate sheathe/unsheathe animations - staffs being carried on the back and wands on the hip - and that's probably determined by the weapon type.

I'd like to see either (or both) some two-handed versions of wand designs, or a limited availability of wands at higher levels with identical stats to the staffs. Perhaps just the 'top level' tome weapons (Ironworks, Shire, Scaevan) if they don't want to make it for every level.

I kind of wish they’d make more one-handed items for BLM and WHM in endgame content. Also shields for them.

As a BLM main, I really would like to see more wands and the like, but make it sort of like PLD sets where the shield compliments the wand/sceptre like with an equipment bonus or something like that.

Yes please. I remember making a glamour a year ago and I stupidly bought a bunch nice looking flower wands that complimented it, only to find out I couldn't glamour the stupid things onto my WHM's weapon!
