Here is my suggestion : play a tank or a healer ?
Never get more than 5min in queue and, when you want to play a DPS you....juste wait cause we all know we have way to much DPS players compared to tank and healer.
"but I don't want to tank or heal !"
And I don't want to be forced to do a content via a conscription system just because YOU want to DPS and consider it's OUR job to ease YOUR queue.
I too want to play my DPS jobs and, when I do so, I just do something else while being in queue or ask friends to come with me as tank or healer. On the other hand, when they want to lvl their DPS, I go with them as healer to ease the waiting time...
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.

I really thing this kind of system could be put into the game for mentors.
Taking place of the mentor roulette, you'd receive notifications that a duty currently requires your rôle and ask if you want to join it.
You could say no to those notifications, and they wouldn't even appaer if you're in a role that can't join a duty or already in queue for something.
However, refusing too much notifications each week would temporarily strip you of your mentor status. And mentors should have some QoL as an incentive to keep their status, like a bigger saddlebag, or cheaper teleport, etc...
Taking a break with DamianFatale. I'd tell Theo to do the same thing but he's basically like a newly hired project manager who's can't wait to pitch his ideas every chance he gets.
You can see how well that went...
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
Let me fix your suggestion.
1. Create a leveling roulette that isn't limited by daily reset.
2. Let people choose which job is getting the experience.
3. Transfer the experience from the tank/healer they play the roulette with to said job.
4. Enjoy faster queue times.
The main reason why the Party Finder is not working for the harder content and so many groups disband after few wipes is caused by the players who ignore the comments.
Getting to the phase XYZ once does not mean you are ready to join parties to do XYZ.
Parties should spend most of the time doing the phase that is written in the comment not trying to get there.
You forgot :
5. Be a dead weight to all your party members by knowing absolutely nothing about the job you leveled without playing it.
Y: I usually compare FFXIV with a theme park, but the Forbidden Land of Eureka won’t be a place where everyone would want to go. For example, there are people who don’t want to go to horror houses because they don’t see the point in getting scared on purpose. For example, on a date, the boyfriend might want to invite the girlfriend to go the horror house, but the girlfriend just doesn’t seem to find it fun. In other words, it’s not like everyone wants to go to the horror house, but there are people who just love the adrenalin rush they get from it. Think of Eureka as something like that.
