Chocobo flying quest

Hi guys!
So with 5.1 it's been stated, that you only need to do the flying unlock quest, and you're chocobos can fly in havensward. After my friend fished it, she got the achievement and all, but her chocobo still isn't flying. She finished the main scenario quests also that you would need for it. And she has a grand company chocobo. Any idea what are we missing?

I know they added new mounts, but as far as I'm aware, the hunt for the aether currents still needs to happen for each zone to be able to fly in each zone.

I think the change was only for the quest that upgraded your Company Chocobo to a flying mount (you had to visit two places only accessable via flying before), but the aether currents are still necessary.

EDIT: Checked the Patch Notes. In fact, nothing changed, they only added all the Fat Chocobos to the list of flying mounts. So collecting aether currents it is.

Oh ok, so that was the problem. I thought they removed the currets collecting to make it easier to new players, as long they use chocobos only. That is how I understood the notes. Thank you very much for clearing that up! m(_ _)m
