As the title suggests. Is there any reason to choose a standard fee over entry?
Only reason to choose Standard from what I know is for alts. Bit. There's no need for them. Unless you RP I guess.

If you ever want to pay using time cards or alternate payment methods.
If you want to have alts to make FC's, sign FC's for friends, make an NPC character for FC game night, make an alt to have more retainer space or vendor space, ect.
Theres a lot of reasons to use alts.
For me, so far, no.
If I ever want extra storage, or another RP character, maybe, but I typically just make on another server if I want to play someone else.
Isn't one of them cheaper by like, 2 bucks?
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
If you want an alt, no, it's not really pointless. I just recently upgraded to the standard fee because I wanted to make a Lala. I will never race change Kyssa. She's a kitteh and will always be a kitteh.
inventory space and payment methods isnt really a good reason, they definitely can make a game time card for entry level sub but choose not to. and inventory space should be expanded and enhanced from a long time ago but they choose not to, because it make people wont use more retainer. If you ever want to pay using time cards or alternate payment methods.

so in the end, they choose to stick with "limited design" that will make them more money, but please understand, afterall they are just smol indie company.
14 has woefully inadequate inventory space, but if you're going to need more, $2 a month for 7 alts on a server is cheaper than $2 a month for +1 retainer on 1 character. (says someone with many more than 2 retainers)
You don't need a standard subscription for one alt. You can have eight characters on an entry-level subscription, although they have to be on different homeworlds.
I chose it mainly because I want all my characters on the same server as my friends and family but it's also sometimes convenient to be able to craft an item for one, with another.
Yes, the one that costs $2 less only allows one character per server, the one that's $2 more allows up to 8 per server. And I think total characters is 8 & 40 total, but not sure on that. I don't care how much of an alt-aholic you are, no one needs 40 characters. I play on a couple servers (although mostly Hyperion) and all my alts are in the same FC.
