Viera and Hrothgar, being incomplete races, don't get to have nice things
People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.

They've been very clear that they're making new UNIQUE Viera and Hrothgar hair styles at some point, it seems that they have no plans to put shared hair styles on them. Can someone, please, in the simplest words in the existence explain to me, why the "Modern Aesthetics - Modern Legend" hairstyle obtainable in the Firmament for Scrips, cannot be used on Viera? Like was there even ANY attempt from Square to make it work? It is a hairstyle released AFTER Viera release, so one would atleast suggest there will be any attempt to make it work. Take the hair and put ears on there, hint. hint. It worked on f-----g Miqo'te. Would it really look that weird or straight unusable if you had Viera ears there? I think not.
Too busy working on next Mog Station mount and outfit i guess. Thanks Indie Enix : ok_hand :
So idk what to tell you other then wait for news on that front cause they have said a number of times buns are getting more bun-only hairs at some point.
Funny, cause this hair style just looks like a better version of the short Viera style.
Its probably because they said Vieras and Hrothgars would only get exclusive new haircuts (basically hairstyles only for their race) and old ones/new ones wouldn't get adapted.
It really isn't a good excuse thought, they could have made it usable for Vieras at least.
I somehow feel they're both treated as one race so don't really expect Viera to get anything util Hroths do and vice versa.

I’ve noticed that they just seemed to have given up with designing anything for anything beyond baseline hyur. Back in 1.0 through ARR, miqos had tops that had tail holes and if there was a pouch on the back, it would be turned into two pouches on either side of the tail hole. I noticed that started to go away in HW and now for the most part, the tail just clips through everything. It looks really bad on the new Ishgard Restoration glam where your tail goes right through a pouch. In addition, a lot of newer ShB gear doesn’t even have the famous miqo ear condoms on hats, hoods, and helmets.Auri helmets were promised horn holes and adjustments.
But instead they clip right through like it's nothing, very few exceptions to this.
SE doesn't put a priority on things like this. They did away with racial concerns for the ARR launch. If this was still 1.0's design philosophy, we'd all have fitting attire and hairstyle options. ...and probably 40 ring slots.
The weird thing is though, that the new dragoon AF has an armored tail if you’re a tailed race. So it seems like their design philosophy is a little inconsistent. I’m a huge fan of Ivalice and was looking forward to viera, but it’s very apparent that they don’t have the resources assigned right now to make it work and now they’re cutting corners everywhere else and that’s a shame.
At this point I think I would have rather have had them concentrate on the existing races then add these two half-baked ones.

Yeah, they don't even do stuff for tailed races, or specifically miqo'te - which is probably their most populous race male+female (I think male hyur may be the most popular for males). Tailed races together are probably played more than not. Probably best to expect nothing for viera, or very little.I’ve noticed that they just seemed to have given up with designing anything for anything beyond baseline hyur. This exactly (like I stated in another post about this hairstyle not being available for Viera/Hrothgar), it's sad how they just throw out halfbaked stuff, indeed since hw I think there's very limited 'new' gear released that accommodated tails, if any at all /shrug
It's sad indeed...
