Idea to let Trust dps scale with your own dps

So I started to lvl all the trusts, and I've noticed that even with me as a complete monkey playing a new dps job that I'm complete trash at, I'm still doing 4 to 5 times the dps as Yshtola as BLM. Solely for the reason that they dont AOE when there's mutliple mobs.

But even on a single target boss the difference is more than double, to the point where you wonder why you're even doing this.

I understand they cant be TOO good cause other wise they will become better than the "average dps level" of the playerbase, and then nobody would ever play with real people anymore.

So here's an idea: Let the trust dps scale up as your dps goes up?

Let's say you are doing 85% of your "max potential dps of your current job", well then the trusts their dps will also boost up to around 85% of their max potential.

Just a random thought to make it more interesting, and especially more rewarding to play with trusts.

PS: Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place, couldnt find any other more fitting place at first glance.

They won't do this, because speeding trusts up means people will have more reasons to not queue for DF.

Implying that some people aren't already at if not below trust level gameplay. Heh.

In all seriousness though, Trusts do feel even worse than the Trashventurers we get issued from the grand company. You honestly feel like a caretaker when running with NPCs.

    If it works both ways....

If doing more dps means the trust would scale up then doing less would need to make it scale down. To a point where everyone dies.

The sad part is you can literally just follow along and let the trust do everything and still pass the dungeon.

I actually dozed off during a trust run once. If i remember right, i was tanking. We still beat the boss we were fighting with me literally hitting no buttons and doing no mechanics. I woke up a few mins(im thinking i was out for about 5) later, grabbed the chest, and logged out because trying to play when that tired was clearly stupid.

Well you could always say that the current level they have now is the lowest its ever gonna be and it'll be fine.

But to be fair I don't think scaling them with the player is the solution, you want good players to also join the Duty Finder for everyone's sanity.

They should just simply be buffed a bit to:
    1) Use AoE, don't care if they do less damage, but its just stupid to pull a pack of 10 small mobs and see them single target them...
    2) Do around decent Tank dps, so still way below players, but not so stupidly low you can outdps them with auto attack and spamming 1 button on any dps.

Although, I think even with this implemented Trusts will always be much slower than DF because the npcs pick trash mobs one by one.
unless you're the tank I guess.

    It’s programmed kinda the opposite.
They do more DPS if you take your time. They’re designed to get you through the dungeon at about the same time no matter what you do save for wiping.

While I understand the desire for them to do more, I can also see why they were made the way they are now.

This. I saw a post earlier about pulling ten mobs and not going any faster....did you pay attention to the real intent of the dungeon of one pack at a time??? I know it's more fun to make a healer cry in a dungeon, but it's much more fun and efficient (in trusts) to just go along with the original intent of the gameplay rather than trying to instinctively run to the end like a crazed lunatic.
