Hmm. Despite my efforts, it seems I was misunderstood.

1. I am not asking for old abilities back (honestly, I shed no tears over Whistle).
2. I am not asking for a change to the current abilities set (As mentioned, if it helps new players, more power to it).
3. I am noting that, objectively, there is less ability to work around lower gear; objectively, requirements have increased. By itself, I'm not saying this is good or bad. It is just the facts.

4. What I am suggesting - and this part is a bit more debatable - is that gear options be filled out a bit.

What leveling gear have you been using? Most of it is basic white gear with one or two slots. Aside from the very low levels before melding is unlocked, gear without meld slots only exists at the former and current endgame levels (50, 60, 70 and 80). You can skip over those easily enough while leveling, especially if you can temporarily accept NQ gear.
