Unable to make New character

Standard Sub, 1/8 on my server, Faerie shows its open to new characters(at time of posting this) Have been unable for almost a week to make an alt on my main server. any suggestions?

every time i had that issue, it was cause it kept trying to assign me to a different server. are you making sure it's trying to assign you to faerie? what kind of error is it giving? are you sure the name itself isn't taken?

It does try to assign a different server but i am clicking to choose new server. Faerie is not on the list it is not even an option. It is not a name issue either, I have been attempting this for days...not sure what is up. (update) i just wasn't hitting it at right time it allowed me just now. thank you for help

If Faerie isn't showing up, are you somehow on a different datacenter when doing the character creation? Do you have a list of the servers it shows?

Fairie is currently a standard server open to new characters as far as the server status page is concerned. :O

https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/worldstatus/ -> The only two NA-servers that are completly locked for new character creation are (surprise, surprise!) Balmung and Mateus. Generally speaking, Faerie is available - however it might be temporarly lokced if two many people are online at the moment of you trying to create that character.
Have you always tried at the same time, maybe even peak hours? You might have more sucess early in the morning or in the middle of the night, when less characters are active - aswell as after this Ishgard stuff is over, which should be probably next week...
