I share the disappointment, also as a working man, I was not online when any of the FATEs went off, hopefully future steps are slower, especially with the wanderer lock in place now, so more get a chance to participate

the main way to participate in the restoration are clearly the turn-ins, and not the fates though. Especially now that all currently available phases are completed.
sure, one lvl in exp and the 500 scrips are a nice bonus if you are still leveling, but pretty irrelevant once you hit 80 on your crafters
Honestly, after getting the chance to partecipate to the very last fate of my server, I must say that it's not even about the rewards. Sure, those are good, but as pointed out you can get them anyway, though a lot lot slower.
It's the fun of the fate itself, actually partecipating in building something with everybody else, and then seeing it actually be built. You're actively seeing your character build something that will be in game forever. And that's an experience that no number of scrips will ever compensate on missing.
Plus, we've been asking for crafter fates since launch...
...I get the sentiment, but it sometimes amazes me how some people see such things.Honestly, after getting the chance to partecipate to the very last fate of my server, I must say that it's not even about the rewards. To me it was a barebones simple FATE. For what it was, it might as well could've screamed: free scheduled reward handout and server stress test. Hell, I got a lot more rewards out of the hand-ins than the FATE.
But, if those are your honest feelings... never change man. And I say that in the non sarcastic way.
I am just thrilled by how much money I am rolling in gathering the mats for this. People continue to buy them faster than I can gather them. Give me all the money.

I guess I'm the kind of person who gets excited with very little :P...I get the sentiment, but it sometimes amazes me how some people see such things.

Nah, that's fine too. Everyone has their own way of enjoying the things the game brings. Ironically, this also gets us to question why people enjoy some other things we don't but at the end of the day, all that matters when it comes to gaming is you truly enjoying something, rather than doing it cuz you have no "choice".
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
I can announce that Twintania has finally filled their bar, leaving spriggan as the last server left still to gather materials.
But its still part of the content and maybe people just want to do everything the content has to offer at least once. It also changes the look of the zone after the fate is done so missing this also means missing the changes and since Ishgard is loved by many its really unfortunate that one might never even see that zone how it once was. Doma was such a great way to do that but needed some deeper mechanics..instead they went with the same mechanics that are already ingame (delivery to Rowena) and took away the personal progress.the main way to participate in the restoration are clearly the turn-ins, and not the fates though. This yeah... im sad i missed almost all part two fates, only for the final one i was lucky as without wanderers it took till 1am or smt to do the first fate and i just got up on saturday to do the 2nd fate at 9am. I delivered at least 200+ lv 80 items there (got the Goldsmith archivment for the lv 71-80 stuff lol) and while i know many delivered way more, its till far from leeching. Im already done leveling crafters since long before 5.1 and while its nice to get the free tokens, to me its more about being there and part of it, as it already bugs me ive missed mor dhona and the first part of Iddleshire...
But i gotta say, it was rly short. I didnt expect it to take till 5.2 but at least a few more weeks would have been nice.
