    Its interesting how often you are posting something like that in restoration threads. This is only the first part but if other parts are similiar than people should tell SE what they liked and what they did not like. IMO everyone that is there in time for the fate should be able to take part of it. But because of the limit in how many can go into an instance you might have situations where maybe 310 people helped to spawn that fate but 10 people will miss out. Or where more miss out because people that did not help afk there all day to not miss it. This is poorly designed because it does not let anyone that wants to participate to do that.

    That is one point of it. The other is the timing and amount of fates. If you are working then you might miss them all becaue they either spawn while you work, or late at night when you sleep. So all parts of the new content (which the first part is the one for everyone) cant be done by everyone. So yes having fates every few minutes over a certain time will help but those that simply cant go ingame at that time will still miss out.

    This is why they imo should have made the fate something personal. If you help with x amount of items per stage (which you can still do even if its the next stage) you get your own personal fate that you can do when you want to do it. Its in a new instance and the stage will only go on after you have done it. Thus people also have the chance to see the changes. You can still do the server wide thing on top of it.

    1. If it isn’t too late to implement changes for 5.15, I think they should make it so that the crafting FATE can spawn even after all the current stages has been completed.

    Also, at least double the frequency in which it spawns but lower the amount of EXP and scrips you get, to balance things out.

    2. Make it so that we have to talk to the story NPC before the changes happen, so latecomers can see how everything develops.

    For the majority of people this current system is fine I think. 8 hours is a decent wiggle room to get at least one fate of the pair. Progress in late hours is slower, so the chance of popping in ealy AM hours is low enough.

    I got 3 FATES out of 6 with a normal 8 hour work pattern and one early alert at 5am. Would've got more, but wanderers locked me completely out of the 2nd round.

    Once again last stage fate not going to see because going to spawn when be at work again. They should make the fate keep spawning for those that miss it and just make it so others don't see it that's done it. On my server they always seem spawn at 9am or 10am during the day.

    But according to the person before you, it works for them so it must work for the "majority". Amazing how this word keeps being thrown about

    If I was interested in the content for myself, I could have gotten into 2 of the 6 fates. All others have been at 1-3am and 9-11am.

    Getting to these others results in me skipping sleep or skipping work, both of which are not things a developer and publisher such as Square Enix should be encouraging (whether directly or indirectly)

    OK, I presume this is referring to me? The reason I equate myself with the majority, is because I'm the stereotypical 8 hour worker in the average timezone of my server. I'm online in the busy hours and offline in the lulls. I got up early on one weekend for a FATE because I could. Would wreck me on a weekday though, so I didn't.

    All 3 FATES were popped in the busy hours, placing the secondary FATE around the 5-8AM zone.

    Now I will concede that this hangs on the presumption that I'm as an average Joe as you can get, but the busy / lull hours of my servers seems to agree with me.

    Doesn't mean its perfect for everyone, but for the majority? Probably.

    EDIT: also, I included my own experience as anecdotal reference. My argument that its "probably fine" is more based on napkin math and the average worktime schedule of people around me.

    Actually, for most people the chances of getting at least one FATE of a pair is fairly low.
    Personally I have 2-3 hours in the evening available to play FFXIV on a normal work day. The chances of a FATE popping during that interval is not very good. On the other hand the chances of enough progress during that period to make the first FATE of a pair pop an hour or two after I logged out is fairly good.

    So far I have managed to catch 1 FATE out of 6 on my server - and that included a weekend when my hours are more flexible. If I had really, really wanted to and had adjusted my sleeping schedule and other activities after the FATEs, then I could no doubt have caught a couple more - but doing that seems a bit over the top, and not something that should be encouraged.

    I too did not to do any of the fates because they were always hours that i either had to go to bed or was at work.
    Did get to do some crafts during the period of each stage at least

    I would like to point out that the fates can by delayed by withholding deliveries and as such be forced to pop at more desirable time frame. Tho that requires certain level of cooperation and patience.

    The main reason why the Party Finder is not working for the harder content and so many groups disband after few wipes is caused by the players who ignore the comments.

    Getting to the phase XYZ once does not mean you are ready to join parties to do XYZ.

    Parties should spend most of the time doing the phase that is written in the comment not trying to get there.

    I got to do the fate once, then, and only then, did I find out it was actually the LAST one based on what people were saying in chat. I really don't get the point of this design, just make it keep running at regular intervals until the next phase of the restoration starts.
