    Ishgard restoration missed opportunity.

Should of made it like the Moogle/Namazu beast tribes.

Make it tied to individual progress similar to the beast tribes so when a new player starts the whole place isn't finished. They won't miss out.

Keep the whole "community does this much" until the next stage is unlocked. Could be like a community version of the reputation system.

So when the server reaches "this much has been done" the next quests unlock. Doesn't change the world for you until the quest is completed. Just like how the beast tribe zone changes when you finish a quest.

Otherwise alotta people are gonna miss out. Especially because all the instances are getting flooded.

The event is temporary right? With the way its set up people who don't participate and miss their chance are just out of luck. sometimes u get it sometimes u get got. Its a server effort, so it works better with how they have it set up

But then how would you handle the people who have houses there? People who haven't even finished the event could have an FC that has a house there.

They should have imo never made it the housing zone. I mean here is Francel wanting to do something for Ishgard who still suffers greatly from the war and still has an ongoing conflict between the people and now because of the idea of Edmont the whole place will turn mostly into something for adventurers? How does that help the people in the city who have no home, who are hungry? I mean each housing zone has like a handful of shops and thats is.

IMO it would have been better if this was truly a zone like Doma and was rebuilt for the people and after the community as done their part, Yoshida unlocks the housing wards at another part of Ishgard with could be as a thank you for the adventurers that are helping with rebuilding the city.

I would agree with your idea, it would make much more sense than what we have now. If I was an Ishgardian right now, those "helping adventurers" look more like a threat rather then help, lol XD

Well the whole idea behind the housing zones, in terms of story behind them, is that they serve as a spark to the economy.

But does that really help those that are living on the street and have nothing to eat? Because if you have a zone that have like maybe two to three shops and the rest is housing then I doubt that this would give many people work. And the money will then go to the already established shops. Of course they could in turn take in more employees but that still does not change the home situation for most.

So having a zone with new houses for the poor people (maybe with a few families in one house) and a place to eat and then get a few shops there to get more people to work and improve the economy is imo a much better way. And if a lot of adventurers are helping they might find a new part of the land and give them houses there. (Or maybe in story there is so much material still left and thus the adventurers built their houses next to that zone themselves)

Assuming the Ishgard housing area is the same size as the others, the Ishgardian government is going to rake in billions of gil from sale of mansions alone within minutes of opening up the area. That could fund a lot of public assistance.

I completely disagree. Ishgard has convinced us to rebuild a devastated section of their city, and then they're going to turn around and charge us millions of gil for the houses we just built. If anything, they're playing us for suckers.

The thing is, that ingame we might just be hundreds of adventurers doing this but in story adventurers might even be the least amount. This is done hand in hand with the population and the housing zones are "adventurers only". So the people who are living in Ishgard who are helping wont even be able to live there and hope that the government will use the money that they got from the houses to fund something finally for them.

And heck they could have done both. Have a zone which we help rebuilt so that it helps the people that are living in Ishgard and then use the gil generated by a better economy to create a housing zone for the adventurers. (And on top fo that earning them another big amount of gil with the sales.) Win Win for everyone.
