Ishgard restoration phases measured in HOURS?

Was the Ishgard restoration intended to be rushed through in a matter of hours per phase? Or was there merely a vast underestimate of the participation rate? Either way, the current pace makes one feel the need to be online constantly, for fear of missing out. And that just isn't fun.

As someone who is currently unable to participate do to international travel, it's not that big a deal?

You got to see none of Mor Dhona's growth unless you played all of 2.0.

Personally I don't think it's a big deal if you mean seeing the whole place get rebuilt slowly, especially when the progress seems kind of slow, even on Balmung. Although they could've handled it differently, something like the Doman Enclave reconstruction where it only affects the client and not the server, but that would also defeat the purpose I guess.

I wish the FATEs were more frequent than they are, though...

So far we got to see some scaffolding get draped with cloth on one side of the small area we have access to. Then we got to see the scaffolding replaced with a couple of cloth covered stalls.

Then the second phase of construction repeated that but on the opposite side of the small area.

There's not really anything anyone is missing out on at this point. You can still do turn-ins when you're online and see what minute changes to a small area have been made.
