Seriously, fix it. Twice in a row it got stuck on "Reserving Server".

Possible fix. I haven't tried this yet but try enabling "Undersized Party" before attempting the GATE. If it still doesn't work, get at least one other person with you in your party and then queue for the GATE (while still having Undersized enabled). Having 1 extra person helped me get into an instance after 1-2 minutes for Amdapor Keep, which was having the same problem.
I can understand Amdapor Keep having issues due to being the farm spot for the RMT bot armies, but I'm curious as to why Leap of Faith would be struggling unless it's on the same instance server as Amdapor for whatever reason.
This has nothing to do with the GATE itself, but rather the server that the GATE uses since it is cross-world.
If anything, this is a complaint about how slow the servers get while under heavy load which prevents duties of any kind from functioning properly.
I don't think that would be the case, as it would seem likely that would cause the queue to top out at 10 minutes. I've sat in queue for over 20 minutes before. My idea about why you will get elongated queues is because people like to stick around in the instance when they have 'finished' until they are forced to leave by a timer. I'm under the impression that there are only so many slots and they are being occupied. I don't feel like it's malicious when people stay, but this is a by-product of it IMO
Yeah, I've seen that when the servers were having issues. For the lulz, one of those times I stayed in the "Leap of Faith" queue, left the Gold Saucer and did some open-world stuff like hunting, inventory etc. After like half an hour (maybe even more) the queue actually popped and I got to do my Leap of Faith. Not sure if that's because it rolled around again as another random GATE and things fixed themselves by then, or what, but just saying, it does eventually pop! Of course, the long wait is still a problem =))
