How'd you let your whm die?! You're doin it wrong! And given the changes listed in the patch notes, they don't even come close to providing the same kind of safety net having another WHM does. If your 1 WHM dies your PLD can't really take over main healing efficiently, you don't have chainspell raises to get your down WHM alive again, AoE cures, regen, the list goes on.
The mitigation PLD has is practically the same as a WAR with exception of the force blocks, which are only useful in certain situations. When your PLD and WAR both get hit with glower and take 3,000 damage and your PLD has 3,500 HP vs your WAR's 4,500...yeah.![]()
You're joking but you're right lol. Thats like carrying around a backup tank cuz "what if your main tank dies!". At some point, you need to stop with the safety nets and just do it right. Take the training wheels off the bicycle. So what if you fall, pick yourself back up and try again. In time, you'll be riding bikes with no training wheels, no helmets, and flying down a hill without a worry in the world.
Playing a game is like riding a bike. Take off the safety nets, take your bruises, and then pwn. Idk why everyone is so afraid of losing, all you have to do is wait a few mins and try again. This whole "safety net" business is whats holding a lot of the community back from appreciating jobs to the fullest.
You know what happens when your one WHM dies? PLD takes over healing himself, until someone raises WHM, or PLD does hallowed ground > raise, or maybe all those mages/bards with cures can, idk, throw one on the WHM in an emergency. If *all* of you need healing you screwed up and did something wrong.
Seriously though, your WHM shouldnt die lol. If thats the reason anyone rolls 2 WHMs they need to lrn2play better. Or they could be like Xzibit and be like: "Yo dawg, I got backup whms for yo backup whms just in case yo backup whms dont get back up"
