Concerted Efforts - restrict wanderer access

So, having spent a lot of the day earlier contributing to the Restoration, I nipped off for dinner during the two hour window before the Concerted Effort was to begin. I returned about twenty minutes early to get myself loaded in and settled and meet this:



The zone remained congested until 10 seconds after it ended.


Disappointing, obviously, but the worst part is that a large portion of those who actually did get in were from other servers, who had come to our world to take advantage of the massive rewards for these events having already done their own, and admitted that afterwards they are nipping off to other servers to hoard theirs, too. If it was just that the volume of people who contributed to the main run was too much for the system allocation for the instanced zone, that would be annoying, because that should obviously have been anticipated. But with the current system, people who contribute to the hand ins are being denied the right to participate in the concerted efforts because of world-hoppers running "FATE train" style taking up all the allocated space.

The zones should be locked to home world only to give residents the best chance at actually getting the benefit of their contibutions, as currently the only ways of seeing this are to hog a spot in the zone and just perma-afk there to be sure you're in, or join those others and steal it from other servers. At least for the first week or so until the zergers get bored.

Agreed, pretty damn disappointed, i contributed and never stood a chance to get in thanks to other world players.

Welcome to my world where I have to leave SBlood A rank hunts due to rendering and not being able to /tar the boss due to clumped up, wanderers. Started to farm gather mats then stopped when I saw how many to fill the gauge and there doesn't seem to be anywhere to turn in after. Not interested.

It really sucks when you can't participate in things on your own server because a thousand randos from other servers are clogging up the zone. The wanderer thing was a cool idea but it's caused my friends to crash out of the game and now is just locking people out of zones on their own server.

Not being able to do the Concerted Efforts on your homeworld is really upsetting and very disappointing. SE should have anticipated the volume of players that would be using this to level their crafters and the risk of wanderers coming in and locking out players. They've started a 'FATE-train' going from world to world to get as much exp as they can.

Honestly, I'm hoping they fix this and roll progress back to zero. Lots of people have been locked out of participating in something they might not get another chance at.

Spent the good part of my afternoon in there, crafting and turning items in. Came back from errands and dinner, couldn't get in the Firmament because the FATE was going to be up and the area was congested with off-world visitors. Pretty upset with this.

This is actually another issue: when I was stuck outside, another chap was saying he didn't even want to take part in the CE, but had a full inventory of collectables to hand in, and because the only turn in is inside this zone, he couldn't get in to hand them off. Meaning he couldn't go play, as he had zero inventory space until the wanderers left and he could get inside.

Cerberus was the first Chaos Server to fill the bar. Was exited to be there in time, but couldn't enter because it was congested - mostly by Ragnarok. So, since Ragnarok was the next server with the Fate, people from Cerberus mived to do it there since we couldn't on our own and were like 'hah, revenge'. And this started the World Visit trend on Chaos.

Yeah, there was a concerted effort coming up in an hour when I got home from work, I figured I'd gather mats for turn-ins while I waited. Come back five minutes before the pop only to find the Firmament congested - not by people from my own server, but FATE-train farmers from all over the datacentre. This shouldn't have been allowed to happen in the first place. Disgraceful.
