Unable to download patch files. [30413][25008][20495][20495]

Still can't download the patch. Never happened before until patch 5.1. Last time when 5.1 released, also got the same problem but managed to downloaded after several try but this time no luck until now.
Using wired connection, tried no ping and trial version of some vpn also didn't work. It seemed the download always stopped at 15-21mb

I am in South Australia and getting this problem too. Never had this issue in the past and was able to download 5.1 withouth any problems.

From Australia, having same issue. I'm not getting a VPN just to play an MMO. This is ridiculous. SE is a major gaming company. I can play GW2, Blade and Soul, Aion, Rift, Archeage Unchained, the list goes on, without any problems downloading their patches. The fact that this is an ongoing problem and hasn't been fixed is nothing short of arrogance. There are plenty of other games to play out there. If I still can't download this patch over the next couple of days I'm unsubscribing.

From Western Australia. Been having this crap problem since the release of 5.1 and the new launcher. Can't download any patches using my default connection settings.

Changing DNS didn't work (stupidly it worked for patch 5.1 but it caused by bandwidth to drop down to 500 kB/s down).
Disabling my firewall didn't work.

It would be a huge joke if I had to pay for a VPN just maintain a steady connection to the patch server. Why do I have to pay extra just to play the game? And don't even say "Just use a free trial" because you can only do that so many times, and when the next patch hits that's 2GB+ a free version won't work either since it's beyond the data cap.

I see this issues been happening since 2016 but it's cropping up a lot more now. If this doesn't get fixed I might as well unsubscribe because I CAN'T EVEN PLAY.

From Melbourne Australia, tried a bunch of stuff this morning even multiple VPN's VPNgate ended up being the one to work for me. good luck to you all, hopefully they fix this shit before the next patch

Another from Australia, can only download patches since the new launcher was introduced by screwing with my DNS settings. Really don't feel like doing this every time the game needs to update.

Methods 2 in this link walks you through changing your DNS. I've tried 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1 for this patch with no luck however.

Actually for those who put in the effort to search, there are free vpn options but they are generally slower.

VPNgate, an "Academic Experiment Project" by the University of Tsukuba.

I'm from Singapore, but due to my research collaborations with Japanese universities I can use some Japanese VPNs to work around this issue. Others can put in a bit more effort and be more thorough their search - more options are available (that are free) if you put your mind to it. SE won't fix this overnight so if we want to play tonight, think creatively.

Thank you very much for this recommendation. Using OpenVPN with those config files magically fixed it for me just like CyberGhost did when 5.1 launched. The download speed wasn't even low either so it's a great VPN alternative. By the way anyone who chooses to use the free CyberGhost trial can easily make a temporary email on this site to avoid giving out your actual email address.
