Unable to download patch files. [30413][25008][20495][20495]

Just want to chime in as well, I'm from Western Australia and this is the first time I have ever had any issues downloading a patch!

Edit: I got it working by using a VPN! I just started a free 1 day trial with CyberGhost VPN and it helped me finish the patch!

New patch, same issue for the second time in a row. The VPN solution works for most people but I really don't want to have to pay for a VPN just to play this game square.

I looked into it but I couldn't actually find anything about the free trial once i made an account so I assumed it was all BS.

I'm from Australia also and also having the same problem.
This is the second time it has happened (the first time was only just a few weeks ago with patch 5.1!)

I have tried these solutions and none of them have worked for me :
-Tethering to phone
-Changing to multiple different DNS's (1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8, 4.2.2.2)
-Running as Administrator
-Disabling Firewall
-Uninstalling and Re-installing the game
-Changing to the old launcher
-Multiple VPNs (NoPing, Mudfish with Full VPN AND Cyberghost which worked the first time for Patch 5.1 but I'm not eligible for another 1 day trial and I refuse to pay just to download a patch)

I've been playing FFXIV since ARR and this problem has only just started occurring since Patch 5.1 and I would hate it for it to happen every patch.
I hope with enough exposure that this problem can be acknowledged by SE and fixed as soon as possible!!

Actually for those who put in the effort to search, there are free vpn options but they are generally slower.

I'm from Singapore, but due to my research collaborations with Japanese universities I can use some Japanese VPNs to work around this issue. Others can put in a bit more effort and be more thorough their search - more options are available (that are free) if you put your mind to it. SE won't fix this overnight so if we want to play tonight, think creatively.

To elaborate on my point above, there are lots of ways to "think creatively" with regards to situations like this. My thought process would be "some other games/services are region locked or some people live in countries with restrictive censorship, most of their population cannot afford to pay for a way out of it. Yet many do so. How? Trawl through their forums, read their blogs. Read the game wikia pages or fandom wiki for those games and services." That's a productive way to think. An unproductive way would be "I can't download the patch no matter what I tried. I tried everything I could think of. I'm so frustrated and angry. SE should just fix this." Well, it's unproductive because SE can't or won't fix it right here and now. It is normal to be frustrated, but we shouldn't let emotions overwhelm our thought process. The immediate issue is that we want to play, so work around the constraints like we would do so when faced with problems in real life. At least that's how I see it.

There's a lot of hidden gems in the internet, a lot of it is indexed by search engines - so it's literally typing the correct query into the search engine of our choice.
