I like the lost allagan katana because it looks like a buster sword and the sheath is pretty big. Maybe some more variety would be neat to see.
I'd like to share some humble suggestions:
Thank you!

From the model on top, it looks like you want to play Gunbreaker!
Those things do not qualify as katanas even with the widest stretch of imagination possible. I suppose they could count as swords if one is generous, but they look terribly unbalanced and would most likely perform poorly in combat.
Katana are a specific kind of sword with a long (60-80cm) blade with a curved edge. You can't deviate too much from that without changing it into a completely different sword.
For example, the final Eureka "katana" form is closer to a Falchion or Messer than a Katana, with its shorter, wider blade.
I don't mind some variations. I mean, DRK also uses the "great sword" technically but has also blunt weapons like the club/mace. And some Paladins run around with spiked paddles instead of swords, especially in low-level dungeons, while the Ninja wields everything between short knifes and longswords. So while the Samurai prefers the Katana it doesn't mean they can't wield something else.

Before we get something like that i prefer we get nodachi (more curved katana), the katana in this game is soooooo straight that it bother me much.
give SAM a claymore while we are at it
They are based on real historical weapons from Central America: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macuahuitl
