I need to run Eden's Gate again to get Deepshadow weapons??

Let's see, they require 10 Mowen's tokens, which require 100 Phantsmagoria tomestones, when I can get from various activities.
And, one Lightweight Tomestone, which costs four Blade of Early Antiquity, which only seems to drop from Eden's Gate? I thought I was done with that weeks ago after I got all my 450 gear.

I don't see any indication that the blades drop in Copied Factory, and I haven't received any in my 2 runs so far either.

And, why not just have them drop in the factory like everything else instead of requiring this ridiculous chain of items?

Blades only drop in E4. You get an upgrade token for accessories or gear in Copied once a week. They reduced the number of blades from 7 to 4 and they are still limited to one drop per week. Gear drops in Eden now however are unlimited.

Personally I wish they had also dropped the tome stone requirements for the weapons from 1000 to 5 or 6 hundred.

Because weapons are always harder to obtain. Putting every single item in a single raid kind of defeats the purpose of gear progression, doesn't it?

The gearing process in this game is already incredibly short and easy, albeit timegated in most aspects. But I daresay you can spare 10 minutes per week to run E4N, which is an easy enough fight.

The Copied Factory raid will eventually let you upgrade your deepshadow weapon to i470 at some point before 5.2. They always first let you trade in the 24-man coins for upgrades to your armor and accessories, then near the end of the patch they add weapon upgrade items to the list as well. They do this for every 24-man, with each successive raid needing the previous raid's coins to upgrade the weapon as well. So come 5.3 when the next leg of the Nier raid is added, you will still need Copied Factory coins as well as the new raid coin to upgrade the 5.3 tome weapon towards the end of that patch. And in 5.5 they will add the third Nier raid and towards the end of that patch you will be able to turn in all three raid coins for the final tome weapon upgrade of the expansion. So save them coins!

Now you can also just do the new extreme for a weapon. Only takes a few clears to buy them too.
