What is the mess of bull crap I've been told. You can still roll on a piece of 2B gear even tho you have it already?
Anyone caught doing this should be banned immediately. Letting this even be a thing is asinine. This better be patched real soon.

I don't see anything about people being able to roll on it even tho they have one already.
Or are you just here to defend this because you have it already?
Afaik, no one is defending that. The discussion about rolling on it if you already have it starts on page number 5.
I mean, I agree that people shouldn’t be able to NEED roll on the coffers if they already own the gear. But banning someone for it? Bit excessive, don’t you think?
I think it would be best to somehow tie the item to an achievement of sorts—and allow players to purchase multiple copies from the Calamity Salvager. I’ve read about some people wanting multiple sets of the gear so that they can dye them rare dyes, like Jet Black and Pure White.

Can't you set things in different glamour plates and dye them separately? Also, those dyes aren't even that expensive, apparently. Every time someone brings up how something is expensive, all the Big Deal Omnicrafters come out to say they have 30 billion gil and everything is actually really cheap, so who cares? "Wah I don't want to spend a fraction of my gil on dyes so I'm going to make the game less fun for other people"? I’m not an omnicrafter and I don’t have 30 billion gil. So my suggestion would be preferable to having to redye the pieces every time I want to swap colors. Also, the Glamour Plates are limited to 15. I don’t think of them as being the best solution versus an ability to just have two separate sets stored in two retainers that you can use whenever without taking up a Glamour Plate slot. Plus, Plates don’t apply outside of city-states...another annoying restriction to work around with them. Can't you set things in different glamour plates and dye them separately? pure white and black are very expensive for the average player, just a random guess but I would say they have about 300k gil. Can't you set things in different glamour plates and dye them separately?
