    To an extent I agree. But for me I actually kinda have a different problem - I'm *not* done leveling yet. I have a lot of classes to get to 80 still, and a lot of them are classes I honestly don't really like playing and especially don't like running dungeons/group stuff with at all (but I want that freakin Amaro...).

    The less reason there is for people to do fates later on in the expansion, the less people do them, the longer it takes for me to do them by myself. All of that together making it both less efficient and less fun to level using fates. Basically imo keeping them alive in general means keeping them alive as a viable leveling option that, also imo, is a heck of a lot less frustrating and more fun when more people are participating.

    Have noticed that there appears to be a shortage of gil in the economy on my server at least recently since the prices of everything have been dropping fairly heavily. Fates offering decent gil per completion would be a good alternative to crafting/gathering and would stimulate the economy.

    I figured out today that you just have to make a pf and hopefully have peeps that are the highest level for Amh Araeng and Kholusia. That way you can do the high level ones regardless of level and still get XP and full credit for shared fate count. Could be annoying getting the party together, but it's definitely possible now that the multiple instances of a zone are gone.

    I do fates for the gemstones, don't really care about exp from them since it's too easy to get from roulettes anyway, so I do them sometimes with max level jobs.

    The only time I do FATEs even with the 5.0 changes is if I am slightly off a level increase and don't want to do a roulette / dungeon to complete the level.

    I don't do them at all on maxed jobs because theres no point. I can earn gil much faster doing gather/craft and I could get tomes doing a duty roulette. Theres a lack of a reason for maxed jobs to be doing fates.

    That begs the question. What can be done to make FATEs worthwhile at 80? Incentives such as gil, rare items, random materia drops, gear (perhaps dungeon equivalent or just glamour only), mounts & minions to name a few. Realistically you'd need a combination of the things I mentioned for people to consider FATEs over alternatives. Gemstones aren't enough to make me want to do FATEs, they just add more of a reward for completing FATEs on DPS jobs while waiting for a duty finder queue to pop while levelling.

    I would love it if they put in XI's merit point system, where you're limited on merit points for ONE job (your main) but all the merit points do would augment your traits, stats, and abilities. People argue it'll make PF more toxic, but they can't kick you for not having merits if they don't KNOW you dont' have merits save for a third party tool. It's still something to do post MSQ and might help people struggling with end game content.

    A bonus to gil would be nice, but wouldn't it just attract (more) bots?

    Could argue that with anything, though.

    As long as there is money to be made somewhere, there will be an automated program to do it.

    Not that you're wrong. Just make all the fates turn-in fates! They seem incapable of doing those! XD

    Edit - Also, if there weren't bots, I wouldn't have anyone to FATE with! Sad, but true. ;-;

    What, instanced content?

    Because there isn't anything to keep us out in the world at level cap, which is one of my personal issues and why I would want that added incentive.

    I've been doing FATEs the last couple of days, and it hurts to see zones be devoid of people. The bots are my only company, because everyone else is huddled around the aetheryte plaza in Limsa Lominsa still, three expansions later.

    It shouldn't be a wild concept to want FATEs to be more fleshed out, especially considering FATEs have been part of the game for as long as they have and have only seen a couple of minor changes over the course of years. This time around it was "they add a little lore and a currency!" Last expansion it was experience bonuses! That's it.

    FATEs exist, so why not do something to incentivize them? Why not give them more longevity?

    They may gate an element of the next relic behind fates, we can only wait and see.

    Maybe they could put the next mogtomes in fates too.
