Frontlines are completely dead except at peak times

Well I saw it coming when the announcement was made that 24 man frontlines would be removed. Without even speaking about how I loathe the zerg brainless feel of 72 man FLs, I just want to tackle the problem of queues in themselves.

I am on the Light DC, so I have no idea how it behaves on other DCs, but I've played on Aether before the DC splits and I can safely say that Light has been as active in pvp, so I don't believe it's a datacenter issue. I'd however actually be happy to hear about people playing FLs on other datacenters. After patch 5.1 frontlines were fine, there was the novelty of new pvp gameplay/skills, and the nice wolf mark new glamour rewards to make people queue up. Queues were relatively fast, and otherwise decent in the day at quieter times.

The last couple of days though I've been queued several times for over a hour and the queue is just not popping. There is just not enough players queued up to fill up a full 72 man game. Even worse, I tried today again and we're saturday, so the week end. The result is still the same.

Can you bring back the 24 man frontlines? Besides being a way more interesting mode, it was a really important part of making frontlines a possibility out of restricted peak times...

Cause Feast and Frontline are very very different. Many people who enjoy Frontlines dont enjoy how Feast plays

I've queued at like 10pm MST on weekdays and had no problems getting in within 10-15 minutes. And still, you can't really complain about not getting in when queuing at non-peak times. Literally no one complains about non-peak queue times except when it's PvP. For others it's assumed that it'll be that way, but for some reason it's not allowed with PvP.

You're kidding me right? What kind of roulette or duty doesn't pop at the very worst under 30-40 min at any given time? What kind of content, unless you're trying to queue up for what, some old extreme or savage fight through the... duty finder?

I've literally never seen any issue with any kind of content out of peak times. Even frontlines used to be okay since we had 24 man.

Nobody is complaining about queues being slower out of peak times, as it only makes sense. I'm just asking why they chose to remove 24 man when it was the only reason frontlines had manageable queue times outside of peak times and roulette resets.

Cause we used to get pops in Frontlines outside peak hours. And now with the new restrictions they made it to only pop during certain hours of the day and if you dont play durings those hours? Though luck.

Welcome to the entire rest of the game. It's pretty standard that most online stuff struggles during late night/early morning. Get used to it. Being able to play PvP at those times isn't the norm for anything else.

But it was a norm before locking Frontlines to only be 72 o.o

Gonna need some stats breakdown for that. I will still find a Diamond 2v2 match on Stacraft 2 at 3:30AM. I'll still get an instapop for a Battleground on WoW at 2am or get a queue pop for some obscure level 40 dungeon. I was playing MUT Cap Head-to-Head at 3am last night on Madden 20 and I'm European where the playerbase is already really small, I bet I could search Head to Head exhibition on Madden 18 in the dead of night and still get a game (albeit probably vs an NA player).
