pure white and black are very expensive for the average player, just a random guess but I would say they have about 300k gil.

Sorry, but if you've played up to 5.1 and can't afford that, you're doing something wrong. I'm an 'average player' and I can afford a good handful of those before I go broke.

Just because you want to spend the gil on them doesn’t mean everyone wants to. Some people are probably saving their gil on the off-chance they’re lucky enough to get a house. I know I sat on millions to afford both a personal and an FC. And I’m also “an average player”.

just a few days ago I made the new 5.1 glam jacket for someone and they offered me dyes as a reward since he only had 100k gil.

That makes zero sense my dude.

Yeah, I could buy a full set of jet black ... but why would I dump 2mil in dyes on a glam plate? I'd never be able to justify changing that plate as it's got 2mil worth in dye on it that will just go down the drain if I touch it. And now what if I want a red version of the outfit? I gotta have 2 2B glam Plates ...

To put some perspective a small house can run you round 3mil. It makes no sense to dump 2mil on PLATE dye. If you're gonna go big you gotta use common sense and get your gil worth. Gotta have it dyed in the dresser. And if you want the 2 most expensive dyes for it then you gotta get 2 sets.

That's what I do atleast. I'm not rich, so if I like how a rare dye looks on a glam I dye it in the dresser. Try to only use reg dyes or cheaper rares for the plates.

Well, 2B is already jet black to begin with, so you only need one. I agree though, the limited plates, and the cost of dyes in general is the problem. Not even if you just use White/Black. Whatever is dyed in-plate can never be changed unless you want to waste the gil you paid to dye the plate, rather than the piece(s) of gear. I could see me having 2 sets in the future, for White variants.

    Nooope.
Yeah, her outfit IS black. It's a nice black that's better than ashy sootblack by a good ways. But anytime you dye it any color the white parts turn black so that you can cosplay as 2P when dying it pure white.
So jet black gives the outfit the darkest black and it also has the benefit of turning the white parts of her outfit black (like any dye when applied to it) making it completely black save for the fleshy looking parts that I hope they change to be your character's skin color.

Yeah, I noticed this tonight when I was switching changing the boots on one of my outfits. It's not the exact same jet black, a bit more shiny. It's one of those things where it's pretty much close enough, but when you start mixing and matching pieces you start to notice it. I bought a black dye for my 2b boots.. Also, there is a nasty dirt texture on the boots.

This is a set I'll need multiple of, but for now i don't have the will or the need right now to need or farm for another. I don't even want to go into that raid if I don't have to. The players are what make it a nightmare.

They really do need to fix the skin color portion. I was wondering when I switched back to my pale veena, if she was just a bit too pale. It's still fine, close enough. Probably still horrible for dark keepers of the moon like yours especially, and anything else.
