PvE and PvP are different in that regard. Your first example of Overwatch was more relevant to the BA one as there is no real competition there. Really though, imagine being a level 1 new overwatch player. First day of playing all you were up against is a 6 stack of diamond to grand master players. Every night for many hours. There is no hope for you to join those people since you are still new or learning. Can't learn and will probably get bored and resent the game. We can assume they stopped 8 man premades because of people complaining.

So, yes if a lot of people complain more and even harder now it could happen. I think this thread probably showed some people to see multiple point of views on why you should reconsider mass sync farming. So, I'm happy.

One more thing I would like to add. Yes, I understand there are a portion of people who queue into frontlines just for a quick reward. But, one of the reason FFXIV's PUG Raiding scene does relatively well is because many people create content and guides around it. We hardly have that for PvP so if players really want to see a overall shift in players being better that one way to help out. I saw Naes do a "multiple leader" in each grand companies event yesterday that's something that can help and intrigue players to do better.
