Positive feedback tends to imply that he's happy with it right? I mean yeah, wasn't intended obviously, but he sure as hell isn't frowning upon it.

And considering that the west used the discord queueing method and Japan pugged, I'm really curious to see where Yoshi-P has stated that he has frowned upon this method. Could you link it please?
He also said that Rival Wings was well received and successful content. For what it's worth.
