Make FL's solo only, add 8 man premade feast or even add premade only FL's as well if there's enough demand.
That way everyone will be happy.
Well, everyone except those who want to play as premade vs PuG's to stomp them that is.![]()

That is the best and simplest comparison. Like imagine getting so good after days and weeks of practice with your group that you can compete for world firsts and get all of the achievements and accolades and gear for being so skilled, and players not as skilled, not putting the same amount of time in, and looking on with jealousy cries foul and then SE makes it so it only allows you to queue savages with 4/8 with pugs filling the rest. Does that sound asinine to you? Well it's kind of a similar situation with those FL premades that have played together for a long time.
I know the PvE community would be outraged and would do anything they could to queue with a full group again.
Grand companies are ingrained in the game/story and they are ingrained into Frontlines too, they have been there since the very implementation of it. There is nothing that can be done about people queuing a specific company to get matched together unless the mode is completely overhauled. The opportunity for players to all solo queue a grand company has been around since the very start, but since the removal of 8 man parties, they can no longer play with the people they enjoy playing with, and maybe even play this game for, unless this is done. These people just want to play with their friends and this is the only pvp mode (apart from rival wings) that really allows you to queue with more than 1 friend. Some people play this game strictly for the pvp alone, they pay their sub only to play the pvp, should them wanting to play with their friends really be such a bad thing? If you don't like it, you don't have to queue into it, no one is forcing you.
People looking to play with friends will all just join the same GC and que at the same time lol.
The changes to how you can queue into frontlines in 5.1 were a mistake from the beginning. If you are playing frontlines for the intention to win, you are welcome to also collaborate with your friends to a single grand company and queue together, just like everyone else. If you are complaining about getting steam-rolled by a more coordinated team, learn how to better yourself in frontlines PvP. There is a variety of resources to learn more about PvP. Like any other PvP game, there is strategy involved, and everyone is welcome to do the same. Like some people in this thread mentioned, this is a casual PvP mode. To bring in new players into the PvP mode, it would be foolish of them to expect to play at a high level immediately. They're bound to get beat down a few times and will learn from those encounters if they still enjoyed the game mode. With how team-oriented this PvP mode is, it's practically encouraged to play with your friends. Making frontlines completely solo (like some of you are suggesting) would most definitely kill the game mode and probably enhance the usage of bots in frontlines. A casual PvP game mode such as frontlines should allow players to play with their friends, not restrict it to 4 players; there is already Feast PvP Team for that. If you want more coordination and competitiveness for ranking, play the Feast.
Then they can do it now as well.
Looks like they don't need to lift premade restrictions after all since a solution is found. :3
On a serious note, i'm all for allowing premades no matter how big as long as they play vs other premades only.
I just don't see why premade supporters want to play vs PuG's so badly.![]()

I don't see why premades are getting all this negativity when Maelstrom basically does the same thing with less steps. Frontline standings show Mael as the dominating GC because word gets around that "if you know how to pvp, queue Mael". Mael is basically a premade without pre forming a group. Even players that freelance and match into another GC may give up because they aren't on Mael.
Why blame premades when the lack of skill and compliance is the issue? Most 72s have entire parties without healers and people that refuse to switch to much needed roles that just end up feeding points, there is people that go AFK for easy rewards, players that are botting, people that go off solo, alliances that don't pay attention to the score and tunnel the losing team just because they are closer in proximity.
I've had friends kicked from the duty for PvPing even though our team was winning, the party just wanted to "guard the node" in Seal Rock. I've had friends reprimanded and verbally harassed because they tried organising objectives for our party playing with PUGs.
Unfortunately, players with these mindsets are far too common which drives players that want to win and want to improve to form a premade. But most importantly, the best part about playing with a premade is playing with your friends, why keep limiting party sizes in an MMO?
Issue is people continue to think this is a premade issue.
It never was.
(Mael owning everyone with 1600 to the other teams 2/400 points is proof of that)
It's a noob to PVP who thinks they know everything and only done 5 matches issue.
Then cries premade when their team gets utterly destroyed.
Premades are not forming 4 person parties. At least not the core PVP players. The purpose was to play with "all" our friends, not omit half of the dang linkshell from participation. So we simply aren't doing parties at all anymore.
It has and always has been player skill vs player skill. We continue to see bad call outs and people follow it like sheep because honestly what else can you do, arguing it is just going to split the group.
Issue was never with premades, its with whining little children that just wanted their rewards and can't take a beating. Then will use every excuse in the book to explain why they got their junk kicked in other then blame themselves.

"Force Frontline Freelancer!" / "Solo queue only!"
No. A terrible idea. This is as equivalent to forcing solo queues on raid finder for PvE raids. If I want to, I want to RP in PvP as Adders or whatever grand company I'm in. Don't force me to be in a grand company I don't want to be in.
"Premades kill everyone!"
PvP is Player vs. Player. Competition. If you have the mindset of an easy win without effort, this isn't a mode for you. Put in some effort like the rest of us that "mow down the pugs". There's all kinds of guides out there for both feast and frontline. No excuses at this point, SE has already toned down PvP immensely. Like others said before me: find a team, put effort, and you'll win. If you plan to PvP to win, good for you, if not and just want rewards, shame on you.
PvP doesn't need any more restrictions. It needs more viability (8 player Frontline and 8 Player feast) because this mode is dying with all these restrictions.

What competition is there in a premade completely stomping PUGs? I'm not advocating for Solo only or forced Freelancer. I only suggested that premades specifically be forced freelancer. I believe it'll make a healthier FL. It has nothing to do with makig things easier or harder. I play all the PvP modes and I win pretty often when I do play, but FL is the only one with this specific problem because of how the queue can be abused.
